MS1210 STATICS
SCHEDULE

 Aims:
• To add more understanding related to statics concept
• To give students team work experience by having a
discussion in order to obtain a solution of a particular
problems

 Time : Saturday, 10.00 – 12.00

Starting 2 February 2019
 Time : Saturday, 13.00 – 15.00
Starting 2 March 2019
 Place : FMAE Building (default)
 No CL activities on 6 April 2019
 If there is a reschedule, it will be announced later.
TECHNICAL

 One group consists of 4 – 5 people and is assisted

by 1 assistant.
 Each participant should take a seat close each
other group member.
 Table and chair position should be arranged in
its original place after the tutorial is finished.
 Use A4 paper for the task.
TECHNICAL

 The task will be given to participants after all group are

present.
 If after 15 minutes the group member has not complete yet, then
the task can be given to the participants.
 Each group should choose one group leader to lead the
discussion for that week.
 Each group will obtain two problem sheets consist of 2 – 3
number of problems.
 Each group will be given problem number 1 in the first
attempt, after all of the group members finished number 1
then the number 2 will be given.
 Each group discusses the method or concept (Free Body
Diagram) to conduct the task (qualitative)
 Group leader ‘presenting’ the method how to get the
answer of the questions to the assistant.
 After being approved by the assistant, the participants are
allowed to accomplish the task completely (calculation)
 The participants have extra time 30 minutes to finish
RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS

 The participants are forbidden to wear short

pants and sandals.
 Every 30 minutes late, participants would receive
score deduction (minus points 25 % )
 Participant who is absent should give the
permission letter to the assistant.
 Absence without permission letter will result
zero points.
 Participant who is absent with permission letter,
should submit the task to the assistant on that
week with minus point 25%.
RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS

 It is very suggested to have a discussion with

other group members and assistant, do not be
individual.
 Participants have right to discuss with other
assistants from other groups if their assistant is
busy.
 Task submission is carried out by group on
tutorial day.

 FOCUS ON YOUR WORK, NOT ON YOUR
