NARRATIVE REPORT

Last June 21, 2019 a symposium about “Illegal Drugs and its Effect” has
been conducted at the school campus of Himensulan Elementary School to
educate and disseminate facts and information on the effects of illegal drugs.
Around 8:30 in the morning after the flag ceremony, all children are all
gathered in the school playground area near the flag pole to increase awareness
in drug education as they witness the great outputs of their school mates. As it
was started, Mrs. Maria Rosario G. Formentera, our school head formally
welcome us all by giving a few inspiring words so pupils became aware on drugs.
Afterwards, Mrs. Maria Alcazara, a Grade V- Generous Adviser presided a
speech to all young children by giving an Open ended questions in relation to
Drug Education. She clearly talked about illegal drugs and its various effects on
the body and minds of all people who prefers to use it. As a matter of fact, she
inspired the young minds of all pupils to be more active on sports, attend classes
regularly, and achieve great academic performances by participating in all school
activities and school contests instead of abusing the body.
With all the ideas and facts and information presented, teachers and the
speakers as well fully delivered and emphasize to pupils that there has been a
need to instill on their minds this simple and yet a very essential words to
remember as always to say: “NO TO DRUGS”, no matter what happen.
Children as young as they are became aware on its effect so they would
fully avoid its usage and be a catalyst in selling prohibited drugs. They were able
to realize the importance of life than harming their selves to death or
imprisonment.
As part of the symposium, they were able to get the main points on
avoiding illegal drugs so they would be happy and have a better future to come.
Most importantly, when each slogan participants proudly showcase their innate
talents with a great value in response to drug awareness.
Thus, the symposium has been conducted meaningfully.
