Course Outcomes (CO)

After completing this course, students will be able to
CO1. Apply the assumptions, behavior and characteristics of concrete and reinforcement steel to
solve engineering problems as well as fundamental principles of materials to design
reinforced concrete elements.
CO2. Identify data, analyze of reinforced concrete slab elements and beam members.
CO3. Design of individual structural components or process to meet desired needs within
realistic constraints such as safety, economy and sustainability following BNBC and other
applicable codes and specifications.
CO4. Investigate shear of slab elements and shear and torsion in beam members considering
tentative design, data analysis and interpretation, and information synthesis to provide
conclusions on safety measures.
