Week 13 Assignment #4 Protecting Supplier

8031.4 - Protecting your Supplier Selection Status and Rating after a Supply Chain
event occurs
Several weeks ago, I gave everyone a company name to familiarize themselves with and create a report for
Assignment #3. Your task back then was to investigate what performance indicators "your" company has in
place, what tools they use, and continuous improvement initiatives are in place. Now what happens when the
supply chain is compromised?

Assignment #4; We are role playing once again whereby you are a manager of the company from the last
assignment (see next page). For example, you are a Quality Manger / Plant manager at Toyota and the supply
chain is threatened either by part shortages, global supply chains or even mass recall. Your task is to create a
meeting agenda to avert a shut down of production. Your JIT inventories are very low which is a good thing but
what happens now when the supply of your parts is at risk? You need to reach out to your supplier and conduct
an audit as well a meeting to discuss your collaborative plans.

1) What is your Communication Plan with Supplier?

2) What is the meeting agenda and who do you invite?

3) Explain the principles of a good Supply Chain Management System?

4) What does an affective Audit include?

This is an individual assignment. Each student must create a report using the APA @ Conestoga format.
All references and quotations must be properly used according to the standard. More information can be
