SUBJECT : Amendment to Denartment Memorandum No. 2017 - 0033 dated

Januan 30. 2017 entitled 62017 Supnlemental Guidelines of the
Drus Price Reference Index (DPRf) for the nrocurement of
essential medicines'

Deparbnent Memorandum No. 2017 - 0033 dated January 30,2017 entitled'201.7

Supplemental Guidelines of the Drug Price Reference Index (DPRD for the procurement of
essential medicines" is hereby amended to reflect the following change:

The provision:

"The DPRI shall be the ceiling price for medicine procurement. This shall apply to
all modes of procurement (Competitive Bidding, Negotiated Procurement Direct Conftacting,
Local Shopping, Emergency Procurement, ffid Small Value Procurement) including
Consignment.'o

Is hereby restated as follows:

The DPRI shall be the ceiling price or ABC for nedicine procurement. This
shall apply to all modes of procurement (Competitive Biddingo Negotiated Procuremento
Direct Contracting Local Shopping, Emergency Procurement, and Small Value
Procurement) including Consignment. However, because of the dynamic nature of drug
priceso the procuring entity may deviate from the latest DPRI by not more than the
appropriate percentage stipulated below:

z. DPRI less than or equal to (S ) P1,000.00 :30o/" increase from the DPRI
b. DPRI greater than or equal to (2) P1r000.01 z l0%o increase from the DPRI

As thus amended, all other provisions in the said issuance not affected by this
amendment shall remain in full force and effect.
