Roberto Tobia, pharmacist

Surely this year is a particular year, the global and international pandemic has brought a series of
categories to their knees, and among these certainly the poorest people who have great difficulties in
finding a drug, in buying medicine. Many people cannot even pay the ticket to buy drugs at a lower price.
Donating drugs will give a smile to these people who will have the opportunity to be cured. The crisis is
devastating and there are people who even have to make a choice between eating and taking care of
themselves.

Bennardo Raimondi, artisan (first interview)

“My situation has worsened due to the pandemic, I am a small craftsman who worked in fairs and since
everything is closed due to the covid I don't know how to go on. I have to pay for some medicines but
without anyone's help I often can't buy them. Between eating and healing, I choose the first thing.
Obviously, because then you don't know what you have to pay first. Between paying for the house, bills
and medicines, you don't really know what the priority is, so I decide not to treat myself.

Sister Marcella Intravaia (second interview)

“The pandemic has amplified poverty and in Palermo it is quite high. In this period, in the last year
before, we were open three days a week, but now due to the covid we have to open five days a week.
People don't work and can't even pay for medicines, we collect medicines and then we give them to
people who can't afford them. People can't pay them so we do what we can, we distribute food for the
children too. We are missing many things and we too are in difficulty ”.

marcello Bova, unemployed (third interview)

“I am also having many difficulties in purchasing drugs that always cost a lot. I can't buy drugs, the price
of which is increasing more and more. We are now talking about covid variants, we are talking that there
could be a new lockdown, so we cannot even predict a better future. We are hopeless ”.

finding a drug, in buying medicine. Many drugs have to be bought and therefore many people don't have
the money to buy them. Do you think that many people cannot even pay the ticket to buy drugs at a
lower price. We are doing an important gesture thanks to the pharmaceutical counter, an important
gesture we can all do by donating medicines for the poorest people in all pharmacies. Donating drugs will
give a smile to these people who will have the opportunity to be cured. The crisis is devastating and
there are people who even have to make a choice between eating and taking care of themselves. More
than half a million people do not have the opportunity to be treated. An absurd fact that has been
magnified with the covid ".

Can't even buy medicine to cure yourself? I had three heart attacks years ago and
I have 4 bypasses. I have to pay for some medicines but without anyone's help I often can't buy them.
Not working I have great difficulties, sometimes I am forced not to cure myself.

Between eating and healing, I choose the first thing. Obviously, because then you don't know what you

I am an artisan and with the pandemic everything has become more difficult.
The institutions have abandoned us. They made this job die. I do something with the internet and
ecommerce but everything is more difficult.
I am so tired, I see so much indifference, people do not help you and humiliate you,
I also denounced the mafia and now I find myself poor ”.
