Summer Courses Offered
 Introduction to Python
Welcome to the Introduction to Python class!
This year we will be providing an
introductory python class to students who
have little to no experience with the python
language, or programming in general. This
class is meant to help build basic skills in
programming, which will serve as a
foundation of later coding. (for Age 10 to 13)
 English Reading and Writing
Students will learn about the importance of
speeches and rhetorical techniques. They
will learn the basics of rhetoric analysis and
how to critically evaluate the effectiveness of
written and spoken communication. Students
will also learn how to write effective
persuasive speeches.
Students will be able to practice their critical
reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Younger students will especially benefit from
early rhetorical/speech-writing lessons: these
lessons will help them build their confidence
and mastery of the language arts/English.
They will be able to communicate more
effectively, which is valuable not just for
English classes, but for all aspects of their
education. (for 10-14 yr)

 Learn Chinese Through
Drawing
Teacher with many years of experience will
provide an interesting learning environment
for children. The goal is keeping young
students interested and focused on
learning Chinese by introducing different
fun ways to learn. One example is to learn
through fun drawings. Looking to help
young children gain new knowledge
through a relaxing environment. (for 5-8 yr)
 Chinese Pinyin Course
Hanyu Pinyin or normally abbreviated to
Pinyin is used to teach Chinese Mandarin.
Pinyin is also the starting point to learn
Chinese. Students taking this class will
learn the correct way to pronounce
Chinese characters through this 6-week
class. (for 5-8 yr)
 Introduction of Scratch
Welcome to the Introduction to Scratch
class! This class is for students who have
little to no experience with Scratch. This
class will help you learn the basics of
Scratch, giving you more opportunities to
make epic projects! (for 8-12 yr)
