At first, honestly, I was expecting that Plan 214 will be the culmination and intervention of technological

advancement to serve as a toolbox and preferential techniques in the planning field. This includes the
utilization of GIS (and other) mapping advancement up to the integration of simulation and forecasting
software in different levels of planning, to provide policies and development plans. Then after the
introductory class, it became clearer and changed my expectation to the tools and techniques applicable
to different stages of planning, which I think is somehow relevant/similar/related to existing planning
guide reference like the HLURB’s planning guideline materials, DILG’s rationalized Local Planning System,
and others.
