Corporate Identity

Corporate identity is a way how the brand portrays itself in front of the masses. Corporate

enterprises use trademarks, advertisements, public relations, and product designs to create

their identity. The purpose of branding is to create a positive image from the customer's

perspective, associating with themselves. Moreover, branding also shows the core values of

a company. There are many positives of branding: it maintains the uniqueness of your

company, it helps to enhance a brand reputation, it helps increase sales and profits, and it

also keeps connected to loyal customers. For example, A local fast-food brand, "Burger Lab,"

regularly post images and intuitive designs on social media to let their customers know what

new they are offering.

Moreover, the marketing team makes sure that none of the customer complaints are

ignored. They have their logo, which has become their identity. They also use high-quality

packaging designs to promote their product.

My Clothing Brand: East Lady

My clothing brand's name will be East Lady clothing. It will be focusing primarily on women's

clothing and accessories. The brand motto will be "a harmonious combination between

modernity and culture. Modernity is defined by individuality and a wide range of styles and

patterns. It gives women the courage to express a different side of their personality through

their fashion choices by encouraging them to select a style that represents their

uniqueness."

The brand will provide all sorts of eastern dresses for women. The colors used in the logo

are darker shades which give an outlook of solidity and independence. The marketing

strategy would be selling the product through associating it with an emotion of women

empowerment. The company will make partnerships with local NGOs to further promote

the cause and brand itself on different platforms. A unique selling point will be that a

customer can bring design recommendations, and we will provide catalogs. Besides, they

can get the dresses of their sizes and design ready with the company's best tailors within

few hours. The business plans to expand in the future; that's why the brand's name doesn't

reflect a particular area or locality.

Examples of Bad Logos:

This logo is of a mattress company, "Durafoam." One cannot resemble a logo with the

product. In the middle, there is an image of a lion. A logo prints on every product with

different sizes. An image can pixelate or deform when enlarged. Also, the typography looks

very random. The company can recreate the logo with a minimal illustrative symbol of a

lion. Bold Typography should be used to give a sense of something big. Lastly, the tagline

should come below the logo.

The logo is of a local Pakistani bank. The color scheme used isn't creating a good contrast

and looks flashy. Also, the text seems stretched. A bold San Serif font with a small and

minimal logo will give a more mature and appealing look.

The logo is of an online shopping website. The thing that makes it a lousy logo is that the

text compared to the overall design is more diminutive. If a company wants to publish it on

a small product, it would no longer be easily readable. Also, the font size of a tagline is very

small to read, even in standard size. There are many flashy colors used in the logo, which

don't appeal to the viewers. A logo with a big font size and tagline with three color scheme

will make it an attractive logo.
