COMMUNITY EXTENSION SERVICES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PLAN

BSOA & BPA Programs

Guided by the institutions’ values, zeal and communion in service, the Community Extension Services of Governor Generoso College of Arts Sciences and Technology
(GGCAST) adopted Purok 5, Poblacion, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental as the target beneficiary of its different program and activities.

VISION
To facilitate service-learning and community engagement initiatives through conscious and sustainable efforts inspired by the spirit of volunteerism and a strong
commitment to service and development.

MISSION
To provide a holistic platform for integrated learning opportunities for GGCAST stakeholders, administrators, faculty members, staff and students through initiatives that
would foster excellence and virtue in community service.

IV. CORE ADVOCACIES


A. Sustainable Development
CES advocates environmental, social, and economic initiatives that would inculcate a sense of sustainability to GGCAST students and all other active participants. The
department aims to promote sustainable development by building and supporting mechanisms that would enable learners and stakeholders to appreciate the value of meeting
current needs without compromising future generations.

B. Social Responsibility
CES encourages initiatives that would inculcate a sense of shared responsibility and nurture the consciousness of GGCAST students and related stakeholders to actively
participate in addressing the current and emerging needs of the society. The department aims to promote social responsibility by supporting initiatives that would allow proponents
and participants to act for the benefit of the society as a whole.

C. Lifelong Learning
Acknowledging that learning is a continuous process, CES promotes initiatives that aim to further enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of the members of the
GGCAST academic community as well as its community partners and other relevant stakeholders.
