To start with, ask the children to copy actions you do while singing the song.

Change your action each time you sing the song.

Next, ask the children to think up actions that they can do when it is their turn. It is
important to give the children some ideas and a little time to think up some of their own.

Call some children to the front or ask them to lead in order around the circle and start
singing the song with each child doing an action in turn for the group to copy.

Develop further to singing the child's name at the end. E.g. 'just like Tom'.

Develop still further by also clapping on the end line 'just like me/Tom'
