Construction Steps
Following steps is recommended.
(1) USB and Power circuits: USB Connector, SW1, D4, U9 and capacitors around them. Plug USB power
source, check 3.3V output.
(2) VCTCXO: Solder U7 VCTCXO, check orientation with Photo1. Using oscillo scope, check 26MHz
0.8Vp-p output of VCTCXO.
(3) Solder MCU U5, Si5351A U7, CODEC U4 and C,R around MCU. Check green cathode mark of
backside of LED chip and orient it to GND.
On this step, flashing firmware MCU should work. Using ST-Link2 or Nucleo, flash firmware and check
USB serial work. And also check LED blinks 5ms cycle with oscilloscope.
(4) Install U2 74VLC74, U1 TS5A23157 and C&Rs of LPF.
(5) Install U8 BGA2817 and C&Rs, BAV99 D3 and SMA connector.

Flashing Firmware
1) Download firmware from github.
Download zip file from https://github.com/ttrftech/CentSDR/releases and unzip it. Select v0.7 or later for
rev1 board.
2) Flash firmware using Nucleo Mass Storage Device
Prepare Nucleo and detach jumper pin at CN2, then connect between CN4 and CentSDR ST-Link2
Connector with jumper cable (requires 3 wires; 2:TCK, 3:GND, 4:TMS). Powering CentSDR and attach
USB of Nucleo to PC, removable drive will be appeared. Then, drag ch.bin file and drop into removable
drive(Fig 1). That’s it.
If fail.txt file be shown in the drive, flashing firmware is failed. Check and flash again.

1) VCTCXO fine tuning
use dac command to adjust reference frequency.
Fix
If fail to boot frequentlly, connect R14 and R7 with jumper wire to make CODEC hardware reset on boot.
