Supporting Pipes
 All horizontal installed pipes will be supported with pipe holder. Pipe holder will be
fixed with rod to draw-in anchor which fitted into celling or crossbeam.
 Vertical installed pipes will be supported to shearwall with u-bolt or heavy load
clamp; on the other hand, all vertical lines will be supported at the buttom of the
line, and these supports will carry the vertical lines.
 All clamps, pipe holders and hangers will be chosen convenient and hard-wearing.
 Pipe hangers shall be arranged as close as possible to the joints and the middle of
the intermediate distances and not to exceed the values given in the specification.
 The hanger distance for sprinkler at the end of the line will not exceed 30cm.
 The distance of the hanger rods to the sprinkler shall not be less than 10cm.
 Suspension distance used to support each sprinkler; It shall not exceed 0.9 m for
pipe system with a diameter of 25 mm and 1.2 m for pipe system with a diameter
over 25 mm.
 During the assembly and installation stages, pipe hanger distances will be mounted
in a way that the following table is taken into consideration;

Steel Pipe Diameter Max.Support Distance Max.Support Distance Rod Diameter

(Horizontal) (Vertical)

DN25 3000 mm 3000 mm M8

DN32 – DN50 3000 mm 3600 mm M10

DN65 – DN100 4000 mm 4000 mm M10

DN125 – DN200 5000 mm 4000 mm M12

DN250 – DN300 6000 mm 4000 mm M16

7. Controls & Checks

 The fire extinguishing system will be hydraulically tested for 24 hours at a capacity
of 50% more than their operating pressure.
 During hydraulic testing, bleeding points will be provided at the higher parts of the
system and drainage lines at the lower levels of the system.
 The test manometer to be used to measure the test pressure will be placed at a
high point in the system.
