Kinesiology at Université Laval in Québec, QC and Research Chair at the Centre de medicine de plongee du Quebec, Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, QC. He was formerly the Research Director at Divers Alert Network in Durham, NC. His academic training is in zoology, exercise physiology, and environmental physiology. His research interests focus on human health and safety in extreme environments. He has served Wilderness & Environmental Medicine for many years, starting as a reviewer in 1999, then an editorial board member in 2005, an Associate Editor from October 2014 through May 2016, and as Interim Editor-in-Chief since May 2016. We are pleased to announce that he accepted the regular EIC appointment in April 2017. It was a quiet transition, with his comment, “I have enjoyed the challenges both as Associate Editor and Interim EIC. I look forward to participating in the continued evolution.”
