Transport Canada has standards & requirements for licences and Endorsements that must be met in
order to issue the licence or Endorsement. The costs in our package for the licences and Endorsements
are based on the minimum requirements as set by Transport Canada. If a student exceeds hours
mention below it is student responsibility to pay for the extra hours.

Recreational Pilot Permit

Duration: 1-2 month if full time, 4+ month if part time

17 hr Dual Cessna-172 $200/hr $3,400


8 hr Solo Cessna-172 $142/hr $1,136
10 hr Preparatory Ground School $35/hr $350

Total $5,186

***The average individual may not complete the permit in the Transport Canada minimum time stated above,
on average the cost is $7,000- $9,000.

Private Pilot Permit

Duration: 2-3 month if full time, 6+ month if part time

33 hr Dual Cessna-172 $200/hr $6,600

Commercial Pilot Permit

Duration: 2-3 month if full time, 6+ month if part time


Prerequisite: Private Pilot Licence
Other Requirement: 18 yeas of age, Class 1 Medical Licence

Course Requirement:

1. 200 hours of flight time.


2. 100 hours of pilot in command including
-20 hours solo cross-country hours
-25 hours of general practice including
Airwork -5 hours of solo night
-300 nm Cross-country
3. 35 hour of dual instructions
including -5 hours dual night
-20 hours of instrument time
-10 hours of advanced duel instruction
-5 hours of Cross-country

Multi-engine Endorsement

Duration: 2 weeks if full time, 1 month if part time


Prerequisite: Private Pilot Licence

8 hr Dual Beechcraft Travel Air 95 $390/hr $3,120


1 hr Solo Beechcraft Travel Air 95 $340/hr $340
4 hr Preparatory Ground School $55/hr $220

Multi-IFR Endorsement

Prerequisite: Private Pilot Licence

15 hr Instrument from PPL, Night Endorsement, CPL -

International Students need to choose from the 4 packages mentioned above.


International students are not eligible to purchase single courses except for conversion
of licence.

For Pilot Licence Conversion please provide us a copy of your logbook information and
scanned copy of the passport. The cost of the pilot licence conversion varies and Lakeside
Flight School will provide you a quotation regarding the conversion of the licence.

Living Expense and accommodation:

Accommodation is estimated to be $500/month. Immigration Canada estimates


living expenses to be $11,000 per year (including rent).
