Although many people held the view that distance learning is helpful for students and they are

location
independent, there is no cost, they have a chance for broader networking, and flexible learning, I think
that real aim of school, or university stays behind a bit in distance education. It is hard for most of
students to get motivated, socialize, which they used to do in traditional learning, and they mostly feel
bored in distance learning, which affects their learning ability.

Firstly, many students can not motivate to learn or study in this new way of schooling. In traditional
learning, in classroom, environment is livelier which affects students’ motivation to learn new things.
Also, teachers and professors can motivate their students in traditional classes which is not that possible
in online classes. Students have more chance for sturdy competition, and this also increases their
motivation during classes. This can be seen from the research too, since 51% of students cannot
motivate much in distance learning.

Secondly, lessons are less effective in distance education than in traditional education. Teachers used to
take students to chemistry or physics laboratories, used to take them to historical places to show
historic places and buildings that they learnt in books to clutch materials better, or students were doing
sport and fun together and so on. However, these activities in online education are impossible and
students can learn limited materials during classes. Research also proves this, since 62% of students
found distant learning less effective than face-to-face education.

Thirdly, it is obvious that, officials are aware that traditional classes have more advantages than online
classes. I think that distance learning is temporary, and it is not a solution which, societies can continue
for a long time or forever. Nearly, one year has passed since the start of online classes, and students
found it difficult to stay at home. This can also be proved by research and 60% of students do not feel
positive about the role of distant learning for future.

Fourthly, it is evident that online education has existed before the starting of mandatory distance
learning. However, it is important to bear in mind that online education should not be compulsory.
Students should choose whether they want to participate in traditional classrooms, or they want to join
classes online. It would be better for their education to choose which environment is suited for them.
Although, compulsory distance learning was a new phenomenon for people and first it was liked by
many students and although it has started nearly one year ago, now, according to research, already 47%
of students do not want to continue their education via distance learning.

Finally, we should mention that education is for students to learn things that they can later use that
knowledge to make his living or serve his country and so on. Of course, some difficulties may appear,
such as, Covid-19 crisis that we are facing with, however, it is essential task for people to provide
students with desired environment, so that they can learn better.
