Capstone Final Reflection

Date: June 14 2021 Name: Tony Lee

¨ The Capstone is a unique and demanding challenge. In completing it, what did you learn about
your subject? Your skill set? Yourself?

- This time I learned how to be sure about the future while playing Capstone. There were many
assignments and classes about my future in CLC class. But I wasn't sure about my future because I
didn't have information about what I should do and what kind of job I should have in the future.
Nevertheless, I could learn a lot of information from this CLC class and as a result, I could find a
job that I want to have in the future.

¨ How is your project relevant to you, the school or the community-at-large?

- Yes, my Capstone presentation deals with the problem of game addiction that many students
currently have.

¨ How did you demonstrate the six Core Competencies throughout this project? (See attached Core
Competency sheet)

- It was not just a matter of students becoming game addicts, but I wondered why there was an
environment where students had no choice but to play games. I tried to analyze it from a different
perspective and prove it to my Capstone project. So I'm going to demonstrate six core competencies
in my Capstone presentation(PPT).

¨ What impact if any did your Capstone project have?

- Through this Capstone project, I have been given the opportunity to find my goal and I think the
goal is to fix the game addiction that is a big problem in society through what I want to do in the
future.

¨ Thinking about the whole process and your finished product, what are you most proud of?

- I have never associated my goals with a social problem. However, I was proud that this Capstone
project could be a way to fix social problems, and I was proud that I had never researched or
prepared so much.

¨ What was a difficulty you encountered and how did you solve the problem?
- Because of Covid-19, it was impossible to interview face-to-face, so I tried to interview an
employee who worked at the Game Addiction Treatment Center through Zoom or phone, but I
couldn't interview him.

¨ What is one thing about your finished project you wish you could change? Why?

- I want to find a way to relieve stress other than games and prevent students from getting addicted
to games. This is because I was once addicted to games and I understand a lot of pain that students
suffer.

¨ What advice would you give to a student who will be completing their Capstone Project next
year?

- I would advise students who will be working on the Capstone project next year to develop a view
of society.

¨ What source from your research helped you the most? (or least?).

- University experiments show accurate scientific facts, speech by someone who has experienced
game addiction.

¨ What is one thing about your approach to your project that you wish you could change? Why?

- I wanted to change this project not only to provide a way to explain and solve problems, but to be

able to empathize and persuade listeners because it is difficult for people who have not experienced

game addiction to sympathize with my project and need persuasion to solve other people's

problems.
