1. Do SWOT Analysis of Your chosen project?

(IT Infrastructure)
1. Starting with the strengths
Hardware:

● Standardization of printers make maintenance easier and cuts cost.

Mobile Computing:

● Using a VPN to control access to your network reduces exposure.

Server Room:

● Your climate-controlled data center increases reliability and reduce failure

rates.

2. the weaknesses
Hardware:

● Lack of centralized tracking of faxes may make compliance more difficult.

Server Room:

● Poor cable management can lead to significant increase in time to

troubleshoot and resolve issues.

● Lack of device labeling leads to significant increase in time to locate

equipment.

Productivity Software:

● Mary being the sole technology support person in-house leaves a void when she is
not present

3. Opportunities
Hardware:

 Cost savings can be gained by switching to a VoIP offering with more

features.
Mobile Computing:

 Implementation of a MDM solution should increase security.

Server Room:

● Exposure to power failure can be aided by the user of data center wide
power redundancy.

Physical Security:

● We recommend purchasing a physical alarm system

Workstations:

● Replacing workstations will decrease down time.

4. Threats
Mobile Computing:

● Unmanaged BYOD can pose potential risks of information theft/loss and

increases hacking exposure.
● Open Wi-Fi connections allow malicious individuals a way into your network.

Physical Security:

● Lack of physical security without access control increases chance for theft.
Workstations:

● The age of computer systems can lead to potential downtime and loss of
productivity.

Current Service:

● Lack of content filtering can lead to liability and risk of hacking.

2.What will be the SWOT analysis of KINGS

International College?

Strengths:
 The cost per semester is dramatically lower than other institutions.
 The college is located in front of Ghazi Elahi Bakhsh girl’s degree college and is it
convenient for commuting.
 The condition of the dorms is very good.
 Two hundred plus students attend the Kings International College.
 The reputation of the Kings International College is good.

Weakness:
 High and unequal workloads on faculty, workforce & staff
 Declining enrollment due to changing demographics, multiplied
Competition.
 Lower than expected student success outcomes, including student
learning, retention and completion
 Lack of a brand and strategic advertising and communications method
Opportunities:
 Expanding engagement opportunities within our communities
 Build up relationship with other universities
Threats:
 Well regarded and competitive universities
 Different types of diploma programs
 MUST rules and regulation

3.Estimation of IT infrastructure
Large IT infrastructure projects are notorious for costing more than originally
planned, with industry research suggesting overruns can be as high as 45 per cent for
rail projects, 34 per cent for bridges and 20 per cent for road projects.

Infrastructure contractors and operators need to establish cost estimates early on in a

project to determine project feasibility, secure funding, meet regulations and
demonstrate value for money. Water companies, for example, undergo a price control
every five years for the water regulator, Ofwat, whereby they provide projected costs
for future works.
While public-funded projects that go over budget can negatively impact on people’s
perception of the project, making it harder for the project to progress, the macro-
economic consequences of project overruns are even more serious. Projects that steer
completely off budget can end up being cancelled.

However, the earlier on in a project’s lifecycle, the less is known about the specific
details of what actually needs to be built and a site’s unique characteristics and how
they will affect the final cost.

4. How can we derive the size of software

product?
Following two methods are used to drive the software size:

 Counting the strains of brought code

 Counting introduced characteristic factors

5. Mention some project management

tools?
 Work zone
 Proof Hub
 Meister Task
 Monday.com
 Teamwork
 Click up
 Wrike
 Asana
 Trello
 Podio
 A Gantt charts
 Logic Network
 PERT chart
 Product Breakdown Structure and Work Breakdown Structure are standard
tools used

6. What is feasibility study?

A feasibility study is an analysis that takes all of a project's relevant factors into
account including economic, technical, legal, and scheduling consideration to
ascertain the likelihood of completing the project successfully.

Project managers use feasibility studies to discern the pros and cons of
undertaking a project before they invest a lot of time and money into it. A
feasibility study assesses the practicality of a proposed plan or project.

it's a good idea to have a contingency plan in case of unforeseeable

circumstances, or if the original project is not feasible.

When doing a feasibility study, it’s always good to have a contingency plan that
you also test to make sure it’s a viable alternative in case the first plan fails.
running errands, craft projects, and more. The couple may seek advice from their
wedding party in order to help make important wedding decisions.

7. How can you gather requirements?

 Interviews
 Storyboarding
 Use cases
 Questionnaires
 Brainstorming
 Prototyping

Use cases can be especially valuable since they provide specific scenarios
of how the solution is intended to be used and by whom. These use cases
can then provide a direct basis for testing the delivered solution.

Following are some things to keep in mind when gathering requirements:

Identify and involve a representative set of stakeholders (don't lose sight of
all of the players)
Seek breadth before depth (get the big picture before deep diving)
Iterate and clarify (as more requirements surface, they will evolve)
Prioritize (separate the must-haves from the nice-to-haves)
Use the stakeholder's terminology (you're doing an information solution not a
technical solution)
Employ KISS (keep it simple but be thorough)
Realize that you will never get a complete set of requirements up-front;
some won't surface until the stakeholders have pieces of the solution that
they can see and touch (be careful of scope creep)
Remember goals and objectives are not requirements (they are just as
important though)
Requirements and constraints should drive the solution not the other way
around

8. Mentions some software analysis &

design tools?
Some of the most important software analysis and designing tools are :
 Data Flow Diagrams
 Structured Charts
 Structured English
 Data Dictionary
 Hierarchical Input Process Output diagrams
 Entity Relationship Diagrams and Decision tables
