(An Ode to Candy)- (or snack of choice)

The candy looks brightly colored and pale like a rainbow dusted
with snow.

In my hand, the candy feels soft, sticky, and slightly rough in

my hand.

The wrapper sounds soft and hard at the same time - loud and
crackling but also muffled and quiet.

It smells as sharp and spicy in the air as cinnamon from the

jar.

It tastes cloyingly sweet and full of zing and spice.

When I eat it,I feel awakened and bright, like I just woke up
and realized it was the weekend.
