Day 1: Tuesday, December 6 – Departure
Today we embark on our Journey to the Holy Land.
Prepare yourself for a life-changing experience.

Day 2: Wednesday, December 7 – Israel
We arrive at Ben Gurion Airport where we will be
met by our Israeli guide who will accompany us
during our entire stay in Israel. We travel northward
to our hotel for one night in the coastal area near
Tel Aviv. The remainder of the day is free to walk
along the Mediterranean, relax, and have dinner.
The time is right for a personal devotional with the
sunset over the “Great Sea.” Enjoy a time of
prayer of thanks for safety and the special bless-
ings ahead, a prayer for the people of this land,
and a good night’s rest.
Day 3: Thursday, December 8 -
Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo,
Nazareth, Tiberias
After breakfast, we begin our journey of a lifetime
by private motor coach along the coast of the
Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea. It was here
where Gentiles first heard the Good News from
Peter and were baptized. We’ll see the Roman Am-
phitheatre and aqueduct, and then journey on to
Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged King Ahab
and the prophets of Baal. Next we travel through
the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, the Armageddon
Battlefield, where archaeologists have unearthed
20 levels of civilization. We drive through the area
of Cana and Nazareth, the boyhood home of
Jesus, and stop for an overview at the Mount of
Precipice where Luke describes how
those in the synagogue rejected Jesus
after He taught them (Luke 4). We will have
dinner and overnight lodging for the next three
nights in the Tiberias area on the Sea of
Galilee.
Day 4: Friday, December 9 – Chorazin,
Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Golan Heights
Following breakfast, we walk the streets of
Chorazim, listed as a “city of Woe” by Jesus
(Matthew 11). Traveling northward takes us to
two valuable sites emphasizing the loss of
God's blessing on Israel. Dan is where the
children of Israel fell to the depths of pagan wor-
ship, and Caesarea Philippi, the site of Peter’s
Confession and the place where the resurrected
Lord commissioned the disciples. A tour through
the Golan Heights to view Mt. Hermon and Israel’s
borders allows for a better understanding of their
strategic importance to the security of the Galilee
region. After dinner meeting with Paul A. Allen.
Day 5: Saturday, December 10 – Mt. of Beati-
tudes, Boat Ride, St. Peter’s Fish Lunch, Ancient
Fisherman’s Boat, Jordan River Baptismal Site
In Capernaum we will visit the ruins of an ancient
synagogue and Peter’s home. Then we travel on to
the site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes
and the Mount of the Beatitudes overlooking the
Sea where Jesus taught the crowds. We enjoy a
relaxing cruise on the Sea of Galilee. A brief scrip-
ture reading, a time of song and devotional on
board brings to life the experiences of Jesus and
the fishermen disciples. After a delightful luncheon
of St. Peter’s fish we visit a local kibbutz to view
the ancient Fisherman Boat. Remember your bap-
tism at the Yardenit Baptismal site, where the Jor-
dan River exits the Sea of Galilee on its journey
southward (Matthew 3). After dinner meeting with
Donna Schambach.
Day 6: Sunday, December 11 - Beth Shean,
Qumran, Jerusalem Overview, Pentecost
Our first stop is a visit to Beit-Shean/Scythopolis,
the most magnificent archeological site in Israel,
located at the strategic juncture of the Jezreel and
Jordan valleys. After defeating Saul and his sons
on Mt. Gilboa, the Philistines hanged their bodies
on the walls of Beit-Shean. During the intertesta-
mental period, the city was renamed the "Scyth-
opolis” and is very possibly the city where the
Prodigal Son wasted his inheritance. Following the
fertile Jordan Valley southward, your guide will
point out the agricultural restoration of the “Land of
Milk and Honey,” the Kibbutz system and Israel’s
intricate irrigation development. We pass ancient
Jericho, view from a distance this city famed as the
oldest in the world, before coming to Qumran to
view the famous caves where the Dead Sea
Scrolls were discovered. A highlight of the tour will
be a spectacular view of Jerusalem where we stop
for a time of introductory teaching from a
scenic overview. We conclude our day with
a visit to the Southern Wall Excavations.
This southern side of The Temple was the
main entrance for the common folk, whereas
the Priests and Levites had their own en-
trance from the higher eastern side. Parts of
the giant stairs, which led to the Temple
Mount from the courtyard, have been un-
earthed along with the purification pools.
From here Jesus entered the Temple Mount
and drove out the vendors and money ex-
changers who were exploiting the people. It
is also likely that this is the place that Peter
stood and preached and where thousands
were saved and baptized on the Day of Pen-
tecost. We will enjoy a challenge from God’s
Word before checking in to our lodging for
the next three nights in Jerusalem.
Day 7: Monday, December 12 - Mt. of Olives,
Gethsemane, Ascension Site, Jerusalem Model,
Holocaust Museum
Today we walk where Jesus walked; beginning the
day with a panoramic view of the city,
Mount Moriah and the Dome of the Rock from atop
the Mount of Olives, the place where Jesus
ascended into heaven. Walking down into the
Kidron Valley, we take time to visit the Garden of
Gethsemane. How many have wished to be
whisked back in time to get a glimpse of our Lord
or hear His voice if only for a moment? To walk be-
tween the ancient olive trees, read the scriptures of
Jesus' prayer and take time for personal reflection
is important here. An interesting and educational
time awaits us this afternoon at the Israeli Mu-
seum. Walk through collections of Israeli artifacts
including the Dead Sea Scrolls, and then a guided
walk through of an accurately detailed model of
Biblical Jerusalem will prepare you for what you
will experience in the following days. We conclude
the day with a visit to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust
Museum, for a needed reminder of what the Jews
have suffered as a people.
Day 8: Tuesday, December 13 – Masada, Dead
Sea Dip, Ein Gedi
Our day begins with a trip southward into the
Judean Wilderness and a cable car ride to the
mountain top fortress of Masada. Here our guide
will treat us to the history of the famous zealot
stand. Our next stop will be at the Dead Sea – the
lowest place on earth. Enjoy a dip in the Dead Sea
for a relaxing float in the buoyant waters. After-
wards we proceed to Ein Gedi, "Spring of the
Goat," an oasis on the western shore of the Dead
Sea. Because of its warm climate and abundant
supply of water, the site developed a reputation for
its fragrant plants and date palm groves. This is
where King David hid from Saul, and where God
defeated the enemies of the Israelites by praise
and worship led by King Jehoshaphat. After dinner
meeting with Jack Coe.
Day 9: Wednesday, December 14 - Way of
Suffering, Garden Tomb, Pentecost
Begin the morning with a visit the House of Ca-
iaphas where Jesus was beaten and spit upon.
See a pit where He may have been held for the
evening and the ancient hillside steps He walked
as He was taken to be condemned. Enter the Old
City at Stephen's Gate, where we hear of those
who conspired against Jesus and are reminded of
His brutal beating and humiliation at the Judgment
Hall of Pilate. From here we will also be able to
see the Pool of Bethesda and sing a song in St.
Ann’s Church. While walking along the Via Do-
lorosa, we are reminded of His way of suffering.
Our guide will explain the differing opinions on the
route that Christ was led. Walk a short distance to
the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) with time for pho-
tos and prayer for the true Peace of Israel. Our cli-
max of the day is the area of Golgotha (place of
the skull) and the Garden Tomb, where we cele-
brate the resurrection with communion and a time
of praise. Enjoy one last dinner together and
transfer to the airport for our flight home.
Day 10: Thursday, December 15 - Home
A very early morning departure for the Tel Aviv Air-
port for our flight homeward will allow for arrival
home by early afternoon.

 Day 4: Wednesday, December 7 - Mt Nebo,
Jordan, Petra Tour
Madaba, Netanya
Mt. Nebo, the site of the tomb of Moses, com-

the Dead Sea. The town of Madaba, the biblical
Medeba, is best known for its Byzantine and
Umayyad mosaics. At the Greek Orthodox
Church of St. George we may view the earliest
surveying original map of the Holyland. As we
travel west toward the Allenby Bridge, we view to

We overnight in Amman for two nights.
Day 10: Thursday,December 15 - Athens,
Acropolis, Mars Hill
An early morning flight to Athens. Tour the Acrop-
olis, and the Parthenon before viewing Athens
atop Mars Hill where Paul stood and preached the
truth to the Gentile nation. Additional sites include
the Agora (ancient market place and center of
public life), the House of Parliament, the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier, Olympic Stadium, and Pres-
idential Palace. Near to your hotel is the famous
Plaka with a multitude of shops and cafes.
Day 11: Friday, December 16 - Ancient Corinth
Departing Athens, we stop for a rest stop and pho-
tos at the Corinth Canal and then travel to the an-
cient city of Corinth, another treat for the New
Testament scholar. Walk along the stone path that
the Apostle Paul walked, see the Archaeological
Museum, the Market Place, the Bema, and the

An early start onto the King’s Highway, we drive
through the land of the Moab where to the east we
view from a distance the hilltop palace/fortress of
Machaerus, the place where John the Baptist was
beheaded, before coming to the amazing Edomite
city of Petra. Walk through the “Siq,” an immense
crack in the Nubian sandstone, to the city where
2000 years ago the Nabateans carved a city out of
the rose red rock. See the famed Treasury, El
Khazneh, one of the most elegant remains of an-
tiquity surrounded on both sides by hundreds of
carved structures. We return to Amman for the
evening.

Day 9: Wednesday, December 14, Jerusalem
Return to Jerusalem for one more overninght.
Temples. To enjoy a devotional in the midst of the
ruins of the church of Corinth will enhance your
understanding and love of I & II Corinthians. Next,
we travel to the top of the nearby Acropolis where
our guide will speak on the worship practices and
point out the bird’s eye view of what was a
bustling city of around 800,000 during Paul’s stay.
To conclude our day we visit Cenchreae,where
Paul stopped on his second missionary journey.
We return to Athens for the evening.
Day 12: Saturday, December 17 - Homeward
A morning flight will bring us back home this after-
noon.

PRICING

AIRLINE SECURITY
It is the passenger’s responsibility to provide positive identification in the form
of a passport or other required identification at the time of airport check-in.
AIR TRANSPORTATION
Pilgrim tours will arrange for the best-priced airfare available at the time of
booking. Passengers wishing to cancel or change their air reservation may be
subject to cancellation penalties. Airlines involved in tours are not responsible
for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board
their planes or conveyances. Air schedules may be subject to change at the
discretion of the airline. Pilgrim Tours is not responsible for unforeseen flight
delays, charges due to changes or schedule changes imposed by the air-
lines. Connecting times for domestic flights booked by the client in conjuction
with international flights, must be approved by Pilgrim Tours.
TOUR MEMBERSHIP
Tour membership is available to all travelers and will not be withheld if the
Tour Operator can furnish special requirements that an individual may need.
Should meeting these requirements materially add to the Tour Operator's
cost, the Tour Member would be expected to pay these additional costs. The
Tour Director retains the right to terminate the membership of any member
displaying disruptive behavior, endangering fellow members or interfering
with the operations of the tour. Physical Limitations: It is suggested that per-
sons be able to walk one mile at a moderate pace in order to take this tour.

Minors traveling with either one parent or no parents must have a certified let-
ter of permission from the parent or parents who is/are not traveling. This let-
ter must be presented at airport check-in. All international tours require a cur-
rent passport. Entrance to Israel requires your passport be valid for 6 months
after your return date. Your passport number must be recorded by a Pilgrim
Tours agent when making your reservation. Names on airline tickets must ap-
pear as shown on passport. Photocopies are not acceptable forms of identi-
fication. Non U.S. Citizens are responsible to fulfill appropriate entry
requirements of the destination country. Contact the local Consulate for infor-

RESPONSIBILITIES
These tour programs are operated by Pilgrim Tours and Travel, Inc., 3821
Main Street, Morgantown, Pennsylvania 19543. In common with other com-
panies, Pilgrim acts only as an agent for tour members in arranging room ac-
commodations, transportation, sightseeing, admissions and restaurants.
Pilgrim reserves the right in its sole discretion to make changes in the itiner-
ary and is not responsible for expenses, loss of time, money or other inci-
dents resulting from a change of tour scheduling made for tour members,
including any rescheduling due to political unrest. Pilgrim is not responsible
for any losses or damages of personal property, injuries or unforeseen ex-

INSURANCE
Pilgrim Tours strongly suggests purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance. Be
