Campus Visit Reflection

1. Describe the campus. What was your overall impression, or feeling, about this
campus?

This campus is a very large campus that is surrounded by trees. It is in Davis, California

that is near Sacramento where some of my family lives. When I did the virtual tour I

immediately fell in love. I love how much nature it is surrounded by, there is a beautiful

lake and trees everywhere. I love trees and think they are one of the most beautiful

things so this campus is perfect.

2. Can you imagine yourself attending this campus, or one like it? Why or why
not?

I can 100 percent imagine myself attending this campus. I have looked at other

campuses surrounded by buildings and cars and was not fond of it. I don’t want to go to

school in a modern city, I want to be around nature. I also love how big the campus is.

It's so big that I would have to ride a bike to get to some classes which is cool.
 3. What did you like best about this campus? Explain.

The thing I like the best about this campus is how much space there is. There is so

much grass and trees, lots of areas you can sit outside and do school. I would definitely

spend most of my work time outside in the grass rather than inside on a desk. I also like

their DVM classes and programs. That is one of the main reasons I want to go to UC

Davis, they have one of the best vet schools.

4. What did you like least about this campus? Explain.

The least thing I like about this campus is how hot it would get in the area. I loved every

aspect of this school. There isn’t much I can say I like the least, except for their stadium.

It’s a very big stadium but it is not my favorite thing at the school.

5. What would you like to know more about? Explain.

I would like to know more about their Veterinary programs. This interests me the most

because that is the career I want to go into. I want to know about every class they offer,

and everything I will need for my doctoral. I also would like to know more about their

on-campus housing. I looked into some of their new housing but I would like to see all of

their housing.

6. How will your visit affect your future plans? Will you apply to this campus (or
one like it)? Why or why not?

This will affect my future plans because this is the main school I want to go to. I am

going to start having to save extremely due to the costs of this school. I am also going

to need to apply for many scholarships. I will be applying to this campus after I get out

of Mesa College with my basic classes done. If I do not get into the school, then I will

have to go somewhere not surrounded by trees and it will be very sad.
