Parts of a Thesis
Preliminary pages:
Dedication: which is recommended not to exceed one page.
Acknowledgements: the length is recommended to be no longer than two pages.
Table of contents: in this part, not only should you specify the order of presentation of
the content, but also its length in pages.
Introduction: the main topic and reason for the research should be included in this
section.
Summary: here you should review the purpose of the research, the methodology used,
the results achieved and the contribution of the research.

Chapter I
The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the understanding of the case study: Starting
from the general overview, you proceed to break down each element of the research,
disassembling each piece that will be grounded at a theoretical level and measured and
applied at a practical level in the following two parts of the thesis. This is where they will
go:
1.1 Problem Statement.
1.2 General Objective.
1.3 Specific Objectives.
1.4 Hypothesis.
1.5 Justification.

Chapter II
This is the section of your work where you concentrate on everything related to the
theoretical definition. It is the body of the thesis, the development of the theoretical
support of the research, and the method or types of methods used to collect the data
that will later prove the viability of the formulated hypothesis. This is where they will
go:
2.1 Background.
2.2 Theoretical bases.
Chapter III
In this section you will be able to group your study and work tools, as well as methods
and procedures to be implemented, in order to reach satisfactory conclusions in your
research. This is where you will go:
3.1. Type of research.
3.2. Research design.
3.3 Definition of variables and indicators.
3.4. Population and samples.
3.5. Data collection.
3.6. Analysis.

Chapter IV
This is the chapter that includes the analysis of the measurement tools: It is the time of
judgment, the moment to reach a conclusion from the data provided by the
methodological tools, applied to measure the study population according to the
problem posed. This is where they will go:
4.1. Analysis and interpretation of results.
4.2. Conclusions.
4.3. Recommendations.
4.4. References.
4.5. Annexes.
