Murder Investigation Notify & Arrest – 301 Eastman Ave.

Rochester, NY (June 16, 2021)

On June 13, 2021 at about 11:15 am Mabel Enid Rosado-Delgado drove to Rochester
General Hospital Emergency Department with her 3-month-old daughter, Karen
Victoria Castro-Rosado. The child suffered from severe trauma and appeared to be
deceased. Medical staff attempted life-saving measures but the child was officially
pronounced dead about 30 minutes after arrival.

The Rochester Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) immediately took the
lead in the investigation. On 6/14/21 an autopsy was completed by the Monroe County
Medical Examiner’s Office and the death of Baby Karen was ruled a homicide due to
blunt force trauma.

SVU, with the assistance of Major Crimes Unit and the Monroe County District
Attorney’s Office, conducted an intensive investigation surrounding the events leading
up to the death of baby Karen. Mabel Enid Rosado-Delgado (12-23-82) has been
charged with Murder 2nd Degree. It is alleged in the criminal complaint that Rosado
Delgado inflicted blunt force injury upon her daughter causing her death.

Mabel Enid Rosado-Delgado will be arraigned in Rochester City Court @ 9:30 am

tomorrow, 6/17/21. Any further comments on this investigation will be made by the
Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.
