Introduction
Businesses tend to achieve some specific objectives in a dynamic environment where the
business directly influences business operation. Some business environments have different
influences on the business (Gerhard, 2020). Different people of the organization have different
types of influence in the business environment, like the manager directly controlling an
organization’s internal environment, and natural disaster has control over the external
environment. Team dynamics is also an important part of an organization because it influences
the organization’s employees. Team dynamics encourage the employee in team interaction.
1.1 Sector that organizations operate in along with the descriptions
Different types of businesses run with different functionality. There are two sectors for
organizations to operate in. These are the private sector and public sector. Businesses that are
owned by individuals or companies belonging to the private sector. The owners of private
companies are known as shareholders and the main motive is to increase profit (Gray, 2015). On
the other hand, public limited companies are influenced and operated by the government. The
goal of businesses in the public sector is not to gain huge amounts of profits but to benefit
society. Public limited companies are owned by the government itself or by the other
organizations that are funded by 5he government. The example of a public limited company can
be armed forces, roads education, health, and more. also takes the responsibility to provide all of
the resources needed to maintain the business. If the business of the public sector is a limited
company, it can freely sell and trade the shares to the public (Hafford-Letchfield, 2019).
Vodafone is a British multinational telecommunications public limited company. Currently, the
company is operating its business in 22 countries. For any other public limited company in the
UK, Vodafone’s goal is to improve society. Vodafone has many public policies for fulfilling
society's core needs.

1.2 Evaluating the role along with the responsibilities in a particular

organization.
Everyone within a workplace must fulfil their responsibilities according to their roles and
designation. People are hired for different tasks that they are capable of maintaining in the
company. Their responsibilities are divided structurally according to their roles. The main
responsibility of everyone in the organization is to show a constant work ethic and development.
Certain responsibilities of the organization come up with certain roles (Jones, 2019). Everyone in
the top management team will be responsible for their critical decisions on behalf of the
company. The middle management team is responsible for operating the organization. And the
lower level management is responsible for the day-to-day jobs. Likewise, Vodafone is also very
particular about the roles and responsibilities of all the people working in the company. Before
assigning anyone for a designation the company evaluates them according to their abilities.
Vodafone's main responsibilities as an organization are customer-centric. The top management
team articulates its projects that are most appropriate for the customers (Perell, 2018). It can be
critical to maintain all the roles and their responsibilities. Sometimes there is a possibility of
failure. But these kinds of situations must be overcome and everyone must give the best effort
constantly.

1.3 Comparison between different responsibilities of particular roles

As the roles are divided in an organizational structure to the employees, there are some
diversifications as well. Not all members are required to do the same job. The responsibility of
the executive team is more superior to others as they belong to the top level. Say for the chef of
the finance department or market department will be responsible for every decision made within
the particular department. Executive members must need keen observation ability and
remarkable work experience. The mid-level responsibilities rely on the managers of different
departments. They take orders from their seniors and then assign the task to other employees
(Kubicek, 2019). The responsibilities of managers are also to supervise and give updates to their
superiors.

For Vodaphone, the key people are Chairperson And CEO. The main job of the chairperson of
the company is to make sure that every meeting is being held accurately and efficient decisions
are being taken in favor of the organization. The Chairperson of Vodafone also makes sure that
each committee member brings out the best of them. The CEO of Vodafone is referred to as the
main communication bridge between the board of directors and the corporate house. As the CEO
of Vodafone is the raking executive n the company, he has to make sure that every functional
aspect is going according to the plan (Sadat-Akhavi, 2017).
2.1 Describing the meaning of ‘team dynamics’
Team dynamics refers to the physical processes that come along with brainstorming and
influences the direction of team performance. Good outcomes of teamwork depend on the trust
and respect between the members of the team. Teamwork also helps to participate in leadership
learning (Tehrani, 2014). The dynamic also refers to the behavior of each member of the team
and how they communicate with each other. A good team dynamic depends on three things and
they are alignment, transparency, and accountability. Vodafone is also very particular about its
tasks. For better alignment in the team, Vodafone makes sure that all of the employees
understand the main goal and objectives of the task. So that no misunderstanding occurs among
them. The company also encourages employees to be honest with each other so that the
transparency remains solid among the team. Feedback is a great tool for transparency. Lack of
accountability can be a reason that draws down a team’s dynamic process. All of the members of
the team must understand their responsibilities and do their job properly. Vodafone makes sure
that the team's dynamic is maintained properly (Washington, 2017). The company also many
kinds of programs to motivate employees for good team dynamics.

2.2 Comparison between the benefits of teamwork and individual task

Working in a team and working individually come up with many benefits. For great individual
performance, it is required to have great excellence and knowledge in particular tasks. On the
other hand, to do well in teamwork it is required to have great communication skills. It depends
on the company whether a person will join in teamwork or do individual work. As a
telecommunications company, Vodafone needs to arrange its employees in both tasks (Tillett,
2018).

Individual working: The biggest advantage of an individual alone is the freedom of making
their own decisions. By working alone one can organize the work accordingly to their comfort.
Also, fewer people means less hassle. Working alone gives the freedom to make decisions.
While Vodafone assign any employee for individual tasks, the company determines how much
knowledge and experience the person has (Sadat-Akhavi, 2017).

Teamwork: Every organization now looks for employees who are suitable for the task of
teamwork. It helps to bring up the best outcome in favor of an organization. Diverse perspectives
and brainstorming in teamwork help to create new innovative ideas (Tehrani, 2014). While
assigning employees is the teamwork, Vodafone observes the employee’s behavior and ability to
adjust in adversity situations within the organization.

2.3 Skills audit evaluation on behalf of the team

Skill audit is a systematic process by which an organization determines the skills of the
employee or a particular group of organization. The purpose of a skill audit is to identify what
skills the employees currently have and what other skills they must develop to provide superior
performance. The skill audit is done by a three-step process. First, the company determines the
essential and necessary skills needed for the organization. After that, it diversifies the employees
to handle the particular task according to their skills (Gray, 2015). And finally, observe in which
area the need more work and prepare its employee to improve more in that particular field.
Vodafone also focuses on these aspects as well. The company’s hiring process depends on the
skill audit. If the company needs more expert employees then look for them. Besides these, the
company also arranges many kinds of programs to increase employees' working skill. Vodafone
is also very particular about the monthly report on each employee that is supervised by superior
members of the organize. Their research team also plays a vital role to fulfil these requirements
(Knijn, 2020). The research team finds future possible aspects and determines what to do and
reports it to the top management After that the skill audit process starts.

2.4 Suggested ways to make the best use of individual tasks in a team

Even though teamwork can increase one's ability to do a certain job, it depends on individuals. If
an organization has better employees than its competitors then the work will be done more
efficiently. For that, the first job of the top management team will be to observe what particular
strengths the employees have. Many organizations all over the world now use training programs
to prepare their employees (Hafford-Letchfield, 2019). Making the best use of teamwork requires
great communication and respect among all the members. For making the best use of individual
strengths one must be welcoming towards criticism and feedback. Even though the employees
are skill and talented =, he /she will not be able to do better if he/she does not understand
superior advice. For making sure that individuals are bringing the best out of themselves in
teamwork, Vodafone council its employees (Turković, 2018). The company also encourages its
employees to take council for betterment without fearing for their position. The also encourages
them to take part in different curricula to bring out their hidden talent. The most sensitive aspect
for an employee is to perform under pressure. The company also trains them to stay calm and
give their best effort for remarkable results.

2.5 Evaluating best use of individual strengths in teamwork

It requires laser focus to work within a team and bring out the best individual outcome. There is
no scope of getting offended by particular comments. The employees must understand that
teamwork is a part of their ability test. A test by which the employee can bring out their
innovative ideas and skills on the table and get praised. If there is any negative response, the
employee should take that as feedback to improve their work more. Regardless of being
judgmental, each employee must appreciate others. In some cases, when a team member gets
rewarded for their working ethics, other members get threatened (Ewald, 2018). In these
situations, employees must understand that their teamwork will have a great outcome and they
can learn from one another. It should be understood that the main perspective of team work is
polishing one's strength. Vodafone encourages taking feedback from all of the employees for
keeping all of the employees on the same page. The company also makes sure that each
individual is getting rewarded and appreciated for their work. Technical skills can be got by
training but team working makes one adjust to the diverse situation. End of the day teamwork
highlights individual strengths (Perell, 2018).

2.6 Supporting each other for a better outcome

Providing support to others motivates them to do betterments for the organization. The teamwork
within the organization becomes more appreciated when the members communicate with each
other in a supportive way. It solidifies the team dynamics. For being supportive toward each
other one must appreciate other work skills. Also, for getting support from colleagues, each team
members get out of their comfort zone (Sadat-Akhavi, 2017). Vodafone provides employee
benefits to keep motivating its employees. Rather than financial support, Vodafone also listens to
its employees all problems and requirements. Vodafone also provides support for its customers
and does social welfare. And regular supervising of Vodafone is not for pressurizing its
employees but to find out the flaws and polishes their working skill as the organization is a
reputed one. There are different kinds of allowance and festival benefits for the employees of
Vodafone. Another fact is that the company works as one even though it has multiple parts all
over the world. Say for, if the department in India needs any assistance, the headquarter office
will try to provide it as soon as possible (Robert James, 2016). All of these together show how
supportive the organization is toward each other to fulfil their goal of society’s betterment.

4.1 Possible source of conflicts in the teamwork of an organization

Teamwork polishes an employee's working skills and encourages them to learn more things. But
teamwork also conflicts among the people. The most common area for conflict is over the
position. There can be many deserving candidates for one particular position. It is tough for
executive members to nominate candidates for certain job types (Gerhard, 2020). When they
select one candidate for promotion, others might think they would deserve the same position.
Major conflict arises among the people due to uneven communication. People tend to lose trust if
there is some miscommunication within the group. Having miscommunication will never keep
the work forward but it will slow down the working process. Substantive conflict arises within a
group when one's perspective or ideas do not support another. To overcome this, every team
member should focus on the task rather than being argumentative. And choose the best option on
behalf of the organization. Emotional conflict arises due to jealousy or being more ambitious
(Kieser, 2019). To overcome this situation, one must keep in mind that they all have to work
hard and perform better for the organization to reach a certain goal. To ignore all of these
conflicts, Vodafone provides feasibility to their employee for each decision.

4.2 Pointing out the ways of resolving conflicts

There are many ways to resolve conflict within a team. First of all executive members and top
management have to be strong from their place. They need to have strong communication to
resolve other teams' dynamics. Vodafone can use many tactics to resolve these gaps caused by
various conflicts by following some simple steps. The organization must listen to its employee's
every problem and understand their requirements (Sadat-Akhavi, 2017). Even though the
employees are campaigning, the company has to decide a proper mannered way. The company
must show justification for any reason because the employees also deserve to know in which
place, they are standing. Vodafone also needs to be proactive for every task to avoid conflicts.
Sometimes there can be many obstacles, for that the supervision needs to deal with their
employees with patience (Hafford-Letchfield, 2019). The company has to build keen observation
to avoid as many mistakes as possible. By being fair and impartial it is possible to maintain a
good position among employees and employees will be loyal towards the organization. They
won't work just for salary but also for the organization's betterment, which will avoid every
miscommunication. Finally, the most important step is to avoid assumptions and look at real
facts for better team dynamics.

4.3 Pointing out the most appropriate way to resolve conflicts with the specific
solution

Every company indeed needs to have better communication to resolve and avoid overall team
conflicts. But specific conflicts need specific solutions. Vodaphone can also follow specific
systematic methods for specific tasks. For problem-solving or case study it is a must to have
team collaboration. Sometimes without anyone's fault, things can go wrong. For that
compromising and reconciling is the best approach. The company has to accept the hard truth
that everyone is not perfect. Vodafone should train its employees to put every difference behind
and not to withdraw from any work. Avoiding conflicts is better than withdrawing (Gray, 2015).
Sometimes companies force their employees to finish a job out of pressure. This is the most
perfect place for showing leadership. By force, there is no possibility of having a good outcome.
If there is a delay the executive members can participate in the work and motivate them. People
face medical emergencies and other financial crises. As a public limited company, Vodafone
must have a welcoming nature to help its employees. For making the employees loyal towards
the organization, the superior must be careful that every employee is getting appreciated for their
work or else they will lose their skilled employees (Washington, 2017).

4.4 Pointing out the ways to prevent conflicts from happening

Conflicts can occur in every aspect of life. Nobody likes conflicts, and the worst conflicts can
arise in teamwork. Conflict hampers the organizational workflow and creates work depression
between colleagues. There can be some prevention ways of preventing conflict from occurring
(Jones, 2019).

People should listen first and then talk after knowing the whole thing. Some people cannot take
criticism to think before taking anything for preventing conflict while talking with one another.
Giving compliments can help people avoid unwanted conflicts in the workplace (Kieser and
Kubicek, 2019). People should encourage each other as well as show respect so that conflicts do
not arise. Setting goals for new projects can help the team work better, so conflicts can arise
between them. Knowing things from before helps people to work more organization and conflict-
free. Observing people helps to know more about the person. People have different personalities
and work styles. If a person knows each other, then conflicts cannot arise. Encouragement is
highly appreciated in the workplace than criticism, complaining, or blaming others. When a
person encourages another person, a good relationship builds among them, and conflict decreases
(Perell, 2018). Finally, people should not go away when a conflict arises. Rather than, they
should embrace the conflict as well as solve them.
Conclusion
Organizations need to have a proper workforce for leading the business. People have some
responsibilities for the organization. Team dynamics helps an organization to move forward.
Working together helps an organization to grow bigger. Teamwork helps the team members to
build individual strength. In the workplace, some conflicts can happen, and employees should be
aware of them. An organization's environment should be friendly so that no conflict can arise.
Methods for avoiding conflicts as well as a good environment for working have been described
in the report.
