End of Year Report

December 2020
Rachel Jo
Year 9
Kaiārahi: Ms J Smart HJST

Extra-curricular:
Chamber Music, Stars Hay House

Awards this year:

Akonga Passport - Bronze, Wakatipu High School Award - for Excellence in ESOL, Akonga
Passport - Silver

Rachel should be proud of an impressive first year at high school. She has displayed resilience
and diligence in the face of challenge. Her spoken English has improved dramatically and she
has shown poise and diligence in all aspects of school life. Aside from the obvious subject
strengths in Music, Rachel has also achieved impressive results in Maths and Social Studies.
Over summer, Rachel would benefit from reading regularly to keep working on her vocabulary
and fluency. I hope to see Rachel involving herself in some of the extra-curricular opportunities
associated with the Arts in future, such as the musical. Enjoy a well-earned summer break,
Rachel.
