The map illustrated the transformation of a city called Youngsville in New Zealand between 1980
and 2005.
Overall, the city was developed during 25 years. Most of the natural trees were replaced with
industrial buildings and public places.
At the first sight, in the west-north areas, the number of trees had decreased as a result for replacing
them by a park at the right of the hospital and by a car park above the lake. To the east of the lake,
instead a blank field in 1980, after 25 years, a stadium with a car park bellowed it had been built.
Also, the resident area near the ocean was also disappeared in order to extend the railway road
from the south. Additionally, a new harbour called Marina had been built at the south of the new
railway.
As to the south areas, there were many factories had been built result in the destruction of a houses
area in the first road together with the forests and trees. Furthermore, next to the industrial building
in the middle part of the south, warehouse were built instead of a temple in 1980. Considerably, the
whole residential areas in the south-east of the town were replaced by warehouse and a number of
skyscrapers in 2005.
