Goods In: Include textile fabrics, lining and garment materials, shirts,
denim, functional materials, as well as fiber raw materials such as yarn and
cotton.

Store Section: The fabric stores department is centralized in apparel


industry and all the fabric comes to this unit first from the supplier and
audited here and kept until it is distributed to other units.

 Raw Material Inspection: Inspection in reference to the apparel
industry can be defined as the visual examination or review of raw materials
(like fabric, sewing threads, buttons, trims, etc.), partially finished
components of the garments and completely finished garments in relation to
some standards.

CAD Section: In the apparel manufacturing sector, CAD stands for


computer-aided design. Nowadays, Computer-aided design or CAD software
becomes one of the most essential tools for pattern making and related jobs
in the clothing industry.

Cutting Section: This department is responsible for cutting of fabrics and
feeding sewing department with cuttings. Cutting department’s capacity is
planned as per daily feeding requirement to the sewing lines. Cutting
department set up with cutting department head, cutters, spreaders, quality
checkers, and helpers for sorting, ply numbering and bundling.

Fusing, Bundling, Cut distribution: After receiving the fabric cut


piece from the cutting section, bundling them & distribute them in the
sewing section.

Sewing Section: Main jobs of the


sewing department are stitching of

garment. In the sewing floor, various types of production systems and line
layout are used. Factories either work in an assembly line or group
system. Major tasks of this department are as follows but not limited to these
only.

Finishing: Stitched garments are finished prior to packing into poly bag.
Major activities of a finishing department include thread trimming, checking
of garments and ironing. Packing department in a factory works side by side
of the finishing department. Folding, tagging and packing of garments are
done in the finishing department. Based on product categories finishing
room activities may vary.

Packaging: Garment packaging is the procedure of wrapping,


compressing, filling or creating of goods for the purpose of protection too
their appropriate handling. This is the concluding procedure inward the
production of garments, which prepares the finished trade for delivery to the
customer.

dispatch and send the shipment to buyers.
