Is there really a need for this kind of project?

Yes. Eversince, the town of Manaoag is always expected to have a lot of tourists because of the famous
Manaoag Church. Moreover, the proclamation of the church as a Minor Basilica enticed more and more visitors to
come and see the Church. That’s why we decided to proposed a five-storey hotel to help the town of Manaoag to
accommodate the tourists who wish to stay there for days. The project will also have available parking lots for the
occupants and for the walk-in visitors.

Who are the direct beneficiaries?

The direct beneficiaries of our proposed project are the tourists and devotees who are visiting the Minor
Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag. Also the Municipality of Manaoag and the townspeople are also benefited with
our proposal. The municipality of manaoag benefits in our proposed project because when the hotel and other
establishments that will be put up in the commercial spaces as well as the restaurant make higher profit, it means
higher taxes will be collected. It will increase the economic growth of the Municipality. On the other hand, the
townspeople of Manaoag are also benefited in our proposed project because it will open job opportunities in
which they are the priority in hiring workers. It will decrease the unemployment people in Manaoag.

What are the specific design considerations that you have taken into account?

There are following criteria that we considered for the design of the project. It should be economical,
environmental friendly, and accessible.

Economical because careful selection of materials should be made and would also satisfy the NSCP
standars.

Environmental Friendly because the construction should not harm the environment. We also imposed
green engineering principles. Durability Rather Than Immortality - Targeted durability, not immortality,
should be a design goals.

What are the criteria in site selection process?

Its proximity should be in the town proper. Easy to locate and nearby the church.

How can you prove that the site chosen is the best site for the project?

Because of its proximity. The site is situated near the Municipal Hall of Manaoag. Walking distance from
the church and has the ability to provide parking spaces.
