Assignment 1  In groups of 4-5, create a mind-map for these 20%


Mind-map of workplace related documents:
resume, cover a) Resume (5%)
letter and b) Cover Letter (5%)
marketing plan c) Marketing plan (10%)
 Compile the mind maps and submit them on Week 5
(Week 3) through the online learning platform.
 Marks will be awarded based on these criteria:
a) Depth of content
b) Presentation
c) Creativity
 Marks may be deducted for late submission.

Assignment 2  In groups of 4-5, compose these workplace related 20%

Assignment 3  In groups of 4-5, students present an online role play 20%


Online Role - scenario based on real-world workplace conflicts.
Play  Scenario is determined by the group. The instructor
facilitates scenario choice and suggest changes if there
(Week 7) exist overlaps between groups that select the same
scenario.
 Example of scenario: overbearing boss
 Students need to effectively demonstrate the conflict
and its suggested resolution.
 Each group member must be assigned a character/role
to play and must at least have one line of dialogue.
 Characters must show diverse personalities/ behaviours
(i.e: assertive, timid, etc) and these characters should
use correct and incorrect communication strategies in
the chosen setting.
 Use a variety of verbal and non-verbal communication
skills in the role-play.
 Props and audio-visual aids are encouraged.
 Links to the role-plays need to be shared in the online
learning platform.
