Extended Orientation Intern May 2021 - Present

● Responsible for the creation and implementation of Frosh Fusion, a Memphis-based extended orientation program.
● Manages students as they step into newfound leadership roles.
● Delegates tasks to designated student camp counselors working to ensure the success of the upcoming program.
● Creates and disperses marketing materials for extended orientation programming and Weeks of Welcome.
● Networks with local businesses and professionals to best determine how incoming students can support the city of
Memphis through the act of volunteering.

Leadership Graduate Assistant August 2020 - May 2021

● Directed the Tiger Leadership Institute, leading to over 100 participants graduating from the three prospective levels
of the program. Utilized best practices associated with leadership development to redesign TLI in order to meet the
need for a virtual format. Trained and managed groups of facilitators focused on implementing the program's
contents.
● Assisted with the support and directing of the Emerging Leaders and Social Change Scholars scholarship students.
Reviewed and verified requirements completed by students to review eligibility to remain in their prospective
scholarship program. Implemented prospective EL and SCS student interviews, using information gathered from
facilitators to later make final decisions regarding students offered the scholarships. Advised students currently on
suspension in order to support their efforts in being reinstated into their scholarship program.
● Advised Up ‘Til Dawn, a local fundraising campaign benefiting St.Jude Research Hospital, executive board.
Supervised students in the raising of over 45,000 dollars in one academic school year. Assisted in the merge of the
University’s affiliation with St.Jude becoming the all new “Tigers for St.Jude.”
● Organized and implemented three separate Leader to Leader speaking engagements focused within the University of
Memphis’ leadership competencies with local professionals.
● Coordinated the Women in Leadership conference during the Spring 2021 semester, creating a program focused
within women in education. Interviewed panelists regarding their current roles and future goals within the field,
moderating student questions throughout.
● Interviewed student candidates for director and counselor positions for the Frosh Fusion extended orientation
program. Planned and organized goals for the program’s counselors and director to work towards reaching within
their time in their prospective roles.
● Created marketing material and digital media for events hosted by the office of Student Leadership and Involvement,
including the following: SLPC Conference, Tiger Leadership Institute, Tigers For St.Jude, Emerging Leaders
graduation ceremony, Leader to Leader speaking engagements, Women in Leadership panel, scholarship student kick-
of meetings, EL/SCS student newsletters, student worker opportunities, etc.
