COGNITIVE STATUS OF A STUDENT IN BLOOM’S TAXONOMY

The objective of the assignment is to Design a training program for an upward shift of the
student from Comprehensive level to Evaluation Level.
I propose a training program to be designed to solve the problem of solving some
problem related to engine functioning in a newly launched car.
COGNITIVE TLO
STATUS
KNOWLEDGE At COGNITIVE STATUS of the learner he/ she knows about the role and
function of engine of a car
COMPREHEN At the time of attainment of status of COMPREHENSION he/ she knows
SION various steps of disassembling and assembling the various parts of the
engine of a car
ANALYSIS When the trainees are at status of ANALYSIS the trainer has to introduce to
the learners the various aspects of combustion and the correct air and fuel
ratio required for proper combustion and its application in the engines
functioning. The trainer has to train the trainees regarding the various
operating conditions of the engine like starting, idling, sudden acceleration,
power range.
SYNTHESIS At the attainment of status of SYNTHESIS the learner is made to utilise his
skill in running condition of the engine at different loads and measure its
effectiveness.
EVALUATION This is the status when trainees are assumed to be already familiar with the
parts of engine working and now he has reached a stage where is capable of
rectifying the defects and rate its performance and increase effectiveness.
Now he can evaluate its performance to a comparatively similar model.The
person after attainment of this status make modifications to increase the
effectiveness of the engine functioning of the car.
