EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE 1ST QUARTER MEETING, SERIES OF 2017, OF THE BARANGAY
COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (BCPC) OF NORTH POBLACION, HELD ON MAY 12, 2017
AT THE BARANGAY SOCIAL HALL, NORTH POBLACION, MARAMAG, BUKIDNON AT 10:00 O’CLOCK

The activity was hosted by ENGR. DOROTHY P. FELIPE, administrative

assistant/BNS designate. The agenda of the 2 ND quarter meeting include
among others: The Presentation of Reports, Barangay Feeding Program,
the recently concluded SYNCHRONIZED BARANGAY ASSEMBLY last APRIL
8, 2017, and the coming ACTIVITIES FOR THE ARAW NG NORTE,
scheduled on MAY 18, 2017 as well as other matters, if any.

I INVOCATION : The meeting was opened with a prayer led by HON. KAG. JOHN ANDRE G.LALAAN,
at 10:15 in the morning on MAY 12, 2017 at the Barangay Social Hall, North
Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon.

II NATIONAL ANTHEM : The singing of the national anthem was led by Purok 4 Day Care Teacher –
MRS. DARWINDA B. PASULOJAN.

V READING & ADOPTION
OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
A short but inspiring message was delivered by Punong Barangay NESTOR G.
PAULICAN, thanking at the same time all the officers and members for their
unending support to the BCPC programs/projects and activities.
MRS. ESTER Y. CORNILLA, read the minutes of the 1ST QUARTER BCPC
meeting held on March 20, 2017. There being no corrections or revisions made,
the minutes of meeting was adopted on motion of HON. BAE MERLYN S
DAYONDON, seconded by HON. HERMOSA B. LOMOD.

VII. DISCUSSION PROPER:

1. REPORTING:
1.1 JOINT DAY CARE JOINT RECOGNITION RITE, BARANGAY SOCIAL HALL HELD LAST MARCH
29, 2017. Mrs. DARWINDA B. PASULOJAN, day care teachers team leader, reported about the JOINT
RECOGNITIN RITE for school year 2016-2017. The activity was held at the Barangay Social Hall of North
Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon held last March 20, 2017. Engr. Dorothy P. Felipe, Barangay Nutrition Scholar of
North Poblacion served as the Master of Ceremonies. According to Mrs. Pasulojan, there are 168 candidates for
recognition coming from the 7 DAY CARE CENTERS of the barangay. She said that as usual, outstanding and
special awards were given to exemplary pre-schoolers. A copy of the program was furnished by Mrs. Pasulojan to
the BCPC for record purposes.
1.2 SUMMER CLASSES HELD ON APRIL-MAY, 2017. The holding of the two-month summer classes was also
taken up. This is a regular program of the DCC. The DCC teachers thereafter announced that enrolment will be
going on by the 3rd week of May, 2017 and that they will hold a parents orientation on June 6, 2017.
2. STATUS OF THE FEEDING PROGRAM OF THE DCCs. The DCC feeding program is being sustained. This activity
usually starts in January and is being continued during the summer months. As to the status of the FEEDING
PROGRAM, Engr. Dorothy P. Felipe informed everyone present that the regular feeding of twice a week is still being
practiced and conducted to help the malnourished children in our barangay. For the 1 st quarter of this year,
malnourished children who were under the feeding program have attained their normal weights.
3. ACTIVITIES FOR THE 45TH ARAW NG NORTE ON MAY 18, 2017. Engr. Felipe presented to the body the lined-up
activities for the BARANGAY FOUNDATION DAY come May 18, 2017. She said the theme this year is:
“ACTIVELY RESPONDING TO THE CHALLENGES OF OUR TIME” There will be a MOTORCADE, HOLY
MASS, SPORTS TOURNAMENT ON BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL, MODERN DANCE CONTEST, OPEN
AMATEUR SINGING CONTEST, SEARCH FOR BARANGAY GUAPO, COSPLAY COMPETITION, AND
PARLOUR GAMES. Engr. Felipe encouraged the DCC teachers to let their pre-schoolers participate in the festivities.
4. THE 1ST SEMESTER SYNCHRONIZED BARANGAY ASSEMBLY on April 8, 2017. This was briefly tackled by
the body. Attached is a copy of the Barangay Assembly Programme as reference on what transpired during the said
activity.
5. ADJOURNMENT. HON. KAG. HERMOSA B. LOMOD, closed the 2ND quarter BCPC MEETING with a short prayer and
short remarks EXTENDING her gratitude to everyone. The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 noon as moved by MRS.
GLENDA M. TANDAN, seconded by MRS. HELEN D. ANDO.

RESOLVE THAT copies of the MINUTES of the 2nd QUARTER MEETING of the BCPC be furnished to offices concerned and that
the original copy be filed in the 2017 BCPC QUARTERLY MEETING FOLDER.
