COUNTABLE UNCOUNTABLE

SINGULAR: SINGULAR (there’s NO PLURAL)


PLURAL:
an apple Apples Meal salt water
an orange Oranges Rice oil bread
a grape Grapes Coffee fish juice
a strawberry Strawberries Milk meat soup
a carrot Carrots Sugar chicken fruit

Example: Example:
1. I usually eat an orange after lunch. 1. There’s some milk in the fridge?
-I have a bag of coffee.
2. There aren’t any apples in the fridge.
2. There isn’t any water in the jar.

 Use a little and much with uncountable nouns.


 Use a few and many with plural countable nouns.
 Use a lot of and (not) enough with plural nouns and uncountable nouns.
 Use too much / many to say there is more than you want.
