Induced Magnetism

When a piece of
unmagnetised
magnetic material
touches or is brought
near to the pole of a
permanent magnet, it
becomes a magnet
itself. The magnetism is
induced. A North pole
induces a North pole in
the far end. Contents.

OBSERVATION

The activity shows induced magnetism

as one unmagnetized object (scissors)
becomes a magnet too when placed
near the pole of other potential material.
Scissors acquired the magnetic charge
from the permanent magnet, and it
caused to attract other metallic objects.
