Examining “The Red Pyramid”

“The Red Pyramid”, a non-fiction story, written by Rick Riordan, contains 516 pages in
total. “The Red Pyramid” is a book about siblings named Carter and Sadie Kane, who are on a
journey to save their father, Julius Kane, whom was taken away by Set, the Red Lord.

When Julius Kane takes Carter and Sadie to the Egyptian museum, Julius frees the 5
gods, Set, Horus, Osiris, Isis, and Thoth out of the Rossetta stone. Freeing the gods was
required to break the stone, however, Julius managed to repair it with magic. The God Osiris
possesses Julius. Set, who wants to engulf Ma’at (creation) in chaos, saw this as an
opportunity. Set locks Julius in a coffin. Carter and Sadie managed to get away from danger,
however they were in custody for breaking the Rosetta stone, and for “terrorism” (Set caused an
explosion in the museum). Sadie and Carter meet Amos, their uncle, who helps them find their
father. They find out later that they must not save their father, but Ma’at, and defeat Set.
