I have something interesting to tell you. I have just won RM600.00 in a story-writing
competition held on 15th January . The topic of the story was “The Day I Will Never Forget”. The
judges found my story interesting and they chose me as the champion. My parents told me that I can
do whatever I want with the money. These are the things I am going to do.
First of all, I am going to buy a new pair of school shoes. I am going to ask my dad to go and
buy them for me. Next, I am going to keep RM200.00 in the bank. I am going to open up a savings
account. I am also going to buy for my brother a new schoolbag and some good stationery as his
birthday present. Don’t worry Francis, when you come down, I am going to take you to KFC
Restaurant and give you a treat to celebrate my winning. I will not forget our friend Muthu. His
father had just passed away. I am going to give him RM50.00 for his school expenses.
Finally, I am going to buy some workbooks and I am going to use the balance of the money
