Professional Expectations Grit and Growth Mindset

I feel that I have learned a lot about technology in the past
month alone. Using the website and figuring out how to use
tech in a class has been very beneficial. I also feel that the
students respected me as their teacher and not just a peer. I
still have to work on my professionalism, but I feel that I am on
a great pathway to being very efficient.
This section has been exercised a lot this summer
and I feel confident to say that this will never be 100%. There are
so many obstacles thrown in that I would have never thought of,
but having an open mindset really changes the way I solve
problems. I do know that I feel more confident in my problem
solving skills. I do also enjoy tons of feedback!

Cultural Competency Instructional Best Practices

Every year I learn so many things about different cultures
in education and this year was no different. In my school,
there was so many different cultures and backgrounds that
I was not used to even though I came from a pretty diverse
high school. I now know how important it is to get to know
your students on a personal level, and where they feel their
strengths and weaknesses are.
I feel that I have had great experience with social
emotional learning and I am finding out ways to incorporate it into
my classroom. There is a lot more I have to learn in order to
really feel confident in this section, but I know more about it than
I ever have before. My gears are turning and thinking if different
activities for the future.

Civic Engagement
There is a lot to knowing your students and I feel very
confident in knowing that I have to put time into knowing
my students and the area they come from. I feel that my
research into which school I was placed was needed
information so that I knew what I was going into.
