Chúng ta hãy suy nghĩ, đ͋ nhìn ra cái đúng và cái sai, cái t͙t và cái
x̭u, cái hay, và cái giͧ, đ͋ bi͇t mình ph̫i làm theo đi͉u gì. Đͳng nh̷m

The priest genuflects at the foot of the altar and joins his hands, the faithful kneel down.

The Confiteor
Confession of the priest
Joining his hands and humbly bowing down, the priest says:

The Introit
The priest makes the Sign of The Cross and reads the day's
Introit, from the right, or 'Epistle', side of the altar.

The Homily
The priest kisses the altar, turns toward the faithful, and says:
P: Dominus vobiscum. P: The Lord be with you.
S: Et cum spiritu tuo. S: And with thy spirit.

The Offertory
The faithful sit down as the priest uncovers the chalice and reads the offertory verse.
He then takes the paten, in which the host is laid, and offers the host, saying:
Suscipe, sancte Pater, omnipotens aeterne Accept, O Holy Father, almighty and
Deus, hanc immaculatam hostiam, quam eternal God, this spotless host, which I,
ego indignus famulus tuus offero tibi, Deo Thy unworthy servant, offer unto Thee,
meo vivo et vero, pro innumerabilibus my living and true God, to atone for my
peccatis, et offensionibus, et negligentiis innumerable sins, offenses, and
meis, et pro omnibus circumstantibus, sed negligences, and for all here present; also
et pro omnibus fidelibus christianis vivis for all faithful christians both living and

The priest makes the Sign of The Cross, here, with the paten, and then places the host on the
corporal.
At the right side of the altar, he blesses the water, then mixes together the water and wine.

The priest offers the chalice.
P: Offerimus tibi, Domine, calicem P: We offer Thee, O Lord, the chalice of
salutaris tuam deprecantes clementiam: ut salvation, beseeching Thy clemency, that it
in conspectu divinae majestatis tuae, pro may ascend before Thy divine Majesty, as
nostra et totius mundi salute com odore a sweet fragrance, for our salvation, and
suavitatis ascendat. Amen. for that of the whole world. Amen.
The priest makes the Sign of The Cross with the chalice, places the chalice
on the corporal, covers it with the pall, bows, and says:
In spiritu humilitatis, et in animo contrito Accept us, O Lord, in our spirit of humility
suscipiamur a te, Domine, et sic fiat and contrition of heart, and grant that the
sacrificum nostrum in conspectu tuo hodie, sacrifice which we offer this day in Thy
ut placeat tibi, Domine Deus. sight may be pleasing to Thee, O Lord
God.
The priest lifts his eyes to Heaven, joins his hands and so makes the Sign of The Cross
over both the host and wine, invoking The Holy Spirit by saying:
Veni, Sanctificator omnipotens aeterne Come, O Sanctifier, Almighty and Eternal
Deus: et benedic hoc sacrificum tuo God, and bless this sacrifice prepared for
sancto nomini praeparatum. the glory of Thy holy Name.
Incensing the Offerings
At solemn, high Mass, the priest blesses the incense:
Per intercessionem beati Michaelis Through the intercession of Blessed
Archangeli, stantis a dextris altaris incensi, Michael the Archangel, standing at the
et omnium electorum suorum, incensum right hand of the altar of incense, and of all
istud dignetur Dominus benedicere, et in His elect may the Lord vouchsafe to
odorem suavitatis accipere. Per Christum bless this incense and to receive it in the
Dominum nostrum. Amen. odor of sweetness. Through Christ our

The priest incenses the bread and wine:
Incensum istud a te benedictum, ascendat May this incense blessed by You, arise
ad re, Domine, et descendat super nos before You, O Lord, and may Your mercy
misericordia tua. come down upon us.
The priest incenses the Crucifix, and the altar, saying:
Dirigatur, Domine, oratio mea sicut Let my prayer, O Lord, come like incense
incensum in conspectu tuo: elevatio before You; the lifting up of my hands,
manuum mearum sacrificium vespertinum. like the evening sacrifice. O Lord, set a
Pone, Domine, custodiam ori meo, et watch before my mouth, a guard at the

The Secret
The priest prays the Secret, inaudibly, and then says:

P: Sursum corda. P: Lift up your hearts.

The Preface
The Sanctus
Following the Preface, everyone kneels, and the priest says:
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts!
Sabaoth. Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua. Heaven and earth are filled with Thy
Hosanna in excelsis. Benedictus qui venit glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is
in nomine Domini. Hosanna in excelsis. He Who comes in the Name of the Lord.

Te Igitur
Bowing before the altar, the priest says, silently:
Te igitur, clementissime Pater, per Jesum Therefore, most merciful Father, we
Christum Filium tuum, Dominum nostrum, humbly beg of You and entreat You
supplices rogamus ac petimus uti accepta through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Our Lord,
habeas, et benedicas, haec dona, haec that Thou would vouchsafe to accept and
munera, haec sancta sacrificia illibata; in bless these gifts, these presents,
primis quae tibi offerimu s pro Ecclesia tua these holy and unspotted Sacrifices
sancta catholica; quam pacificare, which, in the first place we offer Thee for
custodire, adunare, et regere digneris toto Thy Holy Catholic Church to which
orbe terrarum: una cum famulo tuo Papa vouchsafe to grant peace, as also to
nostro N., et Antistite nostro N. et omnibus preserve, unite, and govern it, throughout

He then stands and elevates Our Lord for the faithful to venerate and adore,
each saying silently to themselves with faith, piety and love - My Lord and my God!
The priest places Our Lord on the corporal and kneels/genuflects, again, to adore Him.
The priest sets the chalice down and kneels/genuflects, again, to adore Him.
For Blessings
Supplices te rogamus, omnipotens Deus, Most humbly we beseech Thee, Almighty
jube haec perferri per manus sancti Angeli God, command these offerings to be borne
tui in sublime altare tuum, in conspectu by the hands of Thy holy Angels to Thine
dininae majertatis tuae: ut quoquot ex hac altar on high, in the sight of Thy divine
altaris participatione, sacrocanctum Filii Majesty, that as many as shall partake of
tui Corpus et Sanguinem sumpserimus, the most holy Body and Blood of Thy
omni benedictione coelesti et gratia Son at this altar, may be filled with every

For Happiness
The priest raises his voice for the first three words:

sperantibus, partem aliquam, et societatem to grant some part and fellowship with Thy

Communion

The Lord's Prayer
The priest says audibly:
Pater noster, qui es in coelis: sanctificetur Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed
nomen tuum: adveniat regnum tuum: fiat be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy
voluntas tua, sicut in coelo, et in terra. will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Panem nostrum quotibianum da nobis Give us this day our daily bread. And

The priest breaks the Host in half, over the chalice, then breaks off a particle, saying:
Per eundem Dominum nostrum Jesum Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Christum Filium tuum. Qui tecum vivit et our Lord, Who lives and reigns with Thee,
regnat in unitate Spiritus Sancti Deus. Per in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world
omnia saecula saeculorum. without end.
S: Amen. S: Amen.
Mixing the Body and Blood
The priest makes the Sign of The Cross with the particle he just broke off, over the chalice:
P: Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum. P: The peace of the Lord be always
with you.
S: Et cum spiritu tuo. S: And with thy spirit.
He places the particle in the chalice, and says, inaudibly:
P: Haec commixtio et consecratio Corporis P: May this mingling and consecration of
et Sanguinis Domini nostri Jesu Christi, the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus
fiat accipientibus nobis in vitam aeternam. Christ be to us who receive it effectual
Amen. unto eternal life. Amen.
(The last clause of each stanza is modified in Masses for the the dead.)
The priest covers the chalice, genuflects, bows low and strikes his breast each time as he says:
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of
misere nobis. the world, have mercy on us.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of
misere nobis. the world, have mercy on us.

Holy Communion
The faithful come to the altar rail, and the priest gives them Holy Communion, saying:
Corpus Domini nostri Jesu Christi The Body of our Lord Jesus Christ
custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam. preserve thy soul unto everlasting life.
Amen. Amen.
When everyone has received, the priest places the ciborium in the Tabernacle.
Communion Verse
From the right, Epistle, side of the altar, the priest reads the appropriate
Communion verse from the altar missal, then goes to the middle of the altar and says:
P: Dominus vobiscum. P: The Lord be with you.
S: Et cum spiritu tuo. S: And with you spirit.
P: Oremus. P: Let us pray.
Post-Communion
Again, from the Epistle side, the priest reads the appropriate post-Communion verse.
S: Amen. S: Amen.
The Dismissal
The priest goes to the middle of the altar, kisses the altar, turns around to the faithful and says
aloud:
P: Dominus vobiscum. P: The Lord be with you.

The Final Blessing
The priest says, silently, bowing before the altar:
Placeat tibi, sancta Trinitas, obsequium May the performance of my homage be

quod oculis tuae majestatis indignus grant that the Sacrifice which I, though
obtuli, tibi sit acceptabile, mihique, et unworthy, have offered up in the sight of
