How to work through your assessment
The tasks in this assessment will assess competency for the units BSBPMG515 Manage project
human resources, Release 1 and BSBPMG516 Manage project information and communication,
Release 1.
• This document provides instructions only; do not upload this document to Moodle.

Assessment • The assessment process requires you to complete all assessment tasks.
Process • You must complete all your assessments unassisted by the assessor or
anyone else.

• To gain a ‘Competent’ outcome in BSBPMG515 Manage project human
resources and BSBPMG516 Manage project information and
communication you will be required to gain a 100% result in all Online
Quizzes and a ‘Satisfactory’ result in the other assessment tasks.
• If you fail to meet the required criterion, you will receive the result
‘NYC’ = Not Yet Competent and will be eligible to be re-assessed.
- For Task 1 a student can continue to resubmit an online quiz until

- For all other assessment tasks, the student has three (3) submission
attempts.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to link people, ideas and
information at all stages in the project life cycle. Project communication
management ensures timely and appropriate generation, collection,
dissemination, storage and disposal of project information through formal
structures and processes.
It applies to individuals responsible for managing and leading a project in an
organisation, business, or as a consultant.
The key outcomes are:

• Implement project information and communication processes
• Assess information and communication outcomes

Task 2 – Manage a project for Boutique Build Australia

Purpose You will be demonstrating the required skills and knowledge needed to
plan human resources and implement personnel training and
development. You will manage communication and information systems
to link people and ideas, and information at all stages of the project life
cycle.

Simulated Boutique Build Australia


Business Boutique Build Australia is the business case study you will be using for
this assessment.
This type of business reflects an Australian workplace which will allow
you to engage with others in a simulated environment and be assessed
while working on communication tasks using digital systems and human
resources activities.

Assessment As the Administration and Human Resources manager for Boutique Build
context & Australia, you have been asked to project manage a Home Show event at
overview the Brisbane Exhibition Centre.
You will be responsible to establish a communications and information
system to keep in touch with the project team and Boutique Build
management.
You will also be responsible to recruit, train and manage staff for the
Home Show event. Although you have been given delegated authority to
manage the project, you will need to follow company policies and
procedures and report any issues and final project outcomes to Nick
Garcia, the company Director.
