Sasa: Good afternoon too; I am fine and how about you?
Anggi: I am also fine. But, today you don’t seem excited and confused. What’s going on ? Sasa: Actually, I have a problem. Anggi: Would you mind, if you tell me ,what’s your problem? Sasa: Yes, of course. Hmm.. my English exam will start the day after tomorrow. So I am very worried about it. In fact, I am very weak in written English. Anggi: English is a foreign language. So, any student may face this problem. Sasa: How can we face this problem? Anggi: You know whenever we face any problem, we need a little patience to solve it. Sasa: i feel worry about my score, can we discuss how to solve this problem? Anggi: Yes, of course. English is not our mother tongue. So at first, we are to build up our vocabulary. Sasa: How can we build up the vocabulary? Anggi: Word coming is a good system to build up the word stock. It means you will note down the difficult words in a separate copy. After that, consult the dictionary for meaning. Sasa: Which dictionary is better? Anggi: Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of Current English is a useful dictionary. Sasa: I will purchase it. What more do we need to improve English? Anggi: For English writing, we have to know structural English as well. Sasa: What book can we read for this purpose? Anggi: ‘A Practical English Usage’ by Michael Swan is a good English Grammar book. You may consult it. Sasa: I’ll purchase the book. Anggi: Maybe, that’s all i can to do to help you… I hope it works… Sasa: Thank you anggi. I feel so much better, now i’ve told you. Anggi: We must read English regularly and keep writing on some new topics. This is how we can upgrade our creative faculty. Sasa: Right you are! If we learn vocabulary and grammar properly, they will indeed help us write any topic correctly. Anggi: Thanks for letting me know. Good luck, sasa! Sasa: You are most welcome. See you, next week. Anggi: Okay! Bye.
