 PROBLEMS OF TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
a.Causes and consequences
Traffic jams and accidents are caused
by the increase in population and even-
tually the number of private transports.
It is getting easier for everyone to own a
car and this further exacerbates the
problem.
In a metropolis, the problem of con-
gestions can lead to major frustration
and anger for citizens as their plans are
delayed and their time is wasted.
The large number of private cars also
contribute to air and noise pollution.
The environment of some cities have
become so unbearable due to the CO2
present in the air.
b.Solutions
A possible solution to reduce traffic con-
gestion is improving infrastructure,
and that includes building more roads,
flyovers, while also widening existing
ones.
Another solution is to have more public
transportations such as subways or
buses. Having a good and cheap public
transport system can encourage people
to ditch their cars and commute
together.

là do tăng trưởng dân số và số

điều này làm vấn đề trở nên

Trong một thành phố lớn, vấn đề
ùn tắc có thể dẫn tới sự bức bối và
tức giận cho người dân khi họ phải
tốn thời gian công sức và kế hoạch
bị trì trệ.
Số lượng xe riêng rất lớn cũng góp
phần vào ô nhiễm không khí và âm
thanh. Môi trường ở một số thành
phố đã tới mức không thể sống nổi
do lượng CO2 trong không khí.
Một giải pháp để giảm ùn tắc giao
thông là cải thiện cơ sở hạ tầng, bao
gồm việc xây thêm đường xá và cầu
vượt, cùng lúc mở rộng những con
đường đã có.
Một giải pháp khác là có thêm các
phương tiện giao thông công cộng
như tàu điện ngầm hay xe buýt. Có
một hệ thống giao thông công cộng
tốt và rẻ sẽ khuyến khích mọi người
từ bỏ xe riêng và di chuyển cùng
nhau.

2 PUBLIC TRANSPORT VS PRIVATE TRANSPORT
a.Benefits of public transport
Taking public transports can be a way
for us to save the environment. As
public transports can take more
people at a time, it helps reduce air
pollution and fuel consumption per
passenger.
As more people commute under-
ground or share the space in a bus,
public transports help reduce traffic
congestions and save up a lot of time
for all passengers.
Taking public transports is also more
economical for everyone as tickets cost
much less than the fuel they need for
their private cars.
b.Benefits of private transport
Commuting by private transports is
much more comfortable than public
transports. You can manage your own
time, have more space for yourself and
listen to your own music or radio pro-
grammes while commuting.
For some people, having a car is also a
statement of status. A luxury car is
not only a mode of transports for them,
but also a way to show that they are
wealthy.
Sử dụng giao thông công cộng là
cách giúp ta bảo vệ môi trường. Do
giao thông công cộng có thể chở
nhiều người cùng một lúc hơn, nó
sẽ giúp giảm ô nhiễm không khí và
lượng sử dụng xăng dầu cho mỗi
hành khách.
Khi nhiều người di chuyển dưới
lòng đất hơn, hay chia sẻ không
gian trên xe buýt, ta sẽ giảm được
ùn tắc giao thông và tiết kiệm thời
gian cho mọi hành khách.
Sử dụng giao thông công cộng cũng
sẽ giúp mọi người tiết kiệm tiền
hơn vì tiền vé sẽ rẻ hơn nhiều so với
tiền xăng cho xe ô tô riêng.
Đi lại bằng phương tiện riêng sẽ
thoải mái hơn giao thông công cộng
rất nhiều. Bạn có thể tự quản lí
thời gian riêng, có nhiều khoảng
không của riêng mình hơn và nghe
những bài hát hay chương trình
radio tự chọn khi di chuyển.
Với một số người, sở hữu ô tô cũng
là một cách thể hiện đẳng cấp. Một
chiếc xe đắt tiền không chỉ là một
phương tiện đi lại, mà còn là cách
để người ta thể hiện sự giàu có của
mình.
