I had an opportunity to work with a start up software company called Winceron software
technologies. Even though it’s a startup company they followed all government rules and
acquired all licenses for meeting the legal responsibility. The company started with
school/college software, billing and room booking software. Initially the company started
selling the software to small or startup organizations.
Billing and Room booking software was very useful for small hotels and restaurant to manage
their day today activities. They maintained all their bills and records on paper. Tracking their
room shifting or expenses of each room was very complicated and they need to track
separately on excel sheets. But our software helped them for easily tracking the expenses in
each room and they can easily book the room and track the availability of rooms if they get an
enquiry by phone. They could also track their restaurant bill in this manner.
We also gave our educational software in few schools and colleges which were managing their
fees, admissions process on papers. It was very difficult for them to maintain each kids’ fees,
admission and personal details on records. They struggled hard for preparing reports and even
the management doesn’t know the exact tracking for the school day today expenses.
We installed our software in these small hotels or schools. We have given training and support
to these organization for free which met our economic and social responsibility. We were very
much committed to ensure that client use our software, we were ready to support them at any
time. Special training sessions were given to all the staff of the organization on different
schedules based on their role of using the software.
On one side this was beneficial for our company to sell our software but also beneficial for the
small organizations. And on the other side it was very expensive to purchase expensive
software from multi-national companies and we sold our software for economical price and
clients were able to repay back us in small installments.

So, from my experience I believe that business should be socially responsibly. Money should be
a factor but not the only focus. Off course business should make profit, but that alone should
not be the motive for any business.

During this pandemic time, in India when people suffered from oxygen cylinders shortage many
industrialists and business giants showed their social responsivity. For example, Tata group
brought 4 cryogenic oxygen tanks from Singapore for supplying oxygen in various hospitals.
They have shown their national responsibility by even donating huge amount of money to PM
care fund. So, whenever any country is struggling the business, or the industries should

remember the people who helped them to grow as a profitable industry. And it’s their
responsibility to show the social commitment towards those people.
Even though the prime motive of business is to make profit it should always focus on their
values, moral and ethics to the society.
