Engagement KWL about a butterfly

Engagement KWL Students will jot what they know (K) and what they want to know (W)
Assessment about a butterfly and its life cycle.
Teacher will have students share some things to make a whole group KWL as
well.

Exploration Students will watch a video about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly

Then students will add at least 2 things they learned (L).

Explanation
The teacher will read the Big Book Life Cycle of a Butterfly by Grace Jones and
students will jot the stages in order on their KWL with a brief explanation. Math

Assessment

Elaboration The teacher will have 5 questions about the specific stages of life and the
students will have to code the Blue-Bot to go to the correct answer. Then,
students will have to code the Blue Bot to go through the life cycle of a butterfly.
Students will use this to retell the cycle to each other.

Evaluation Students will have to record themselves presenting the life cycle of
SeeSaw. They will also have to record their Blue Bot going in the correct
sequence and ad to SeeSaw.
