● Calculating numerical data: I work in the cash office at Ross (clothing store), everyday
we calculate how much sales we made, and we divide this data up by determining if the
customer made a purchase with cash, card, checks, voucher, etc.

● Meeting people: I met new people everyday when I worked at Talay Thai, and I continue
meeting new people everyday at the moment working at Ross.

● Handling complaints: Working in customer service, there are many complaints done
daily. Some complaints I have dealt with include: long wait, lack of information, out of
stock product(s), poor product, poor service, and many more.

● Collecting money: I collect money through every service and purchase I do from each
customer.

● Interpreting languages: I speak fluent Vietnamese, Thai, and English. I always help any
person who is struggling to understand English but understands any of the following
languages I speak.

● Confronting other people: I work as a front-end supervisor at Ross. I confront any

employee that is not doing their job correctly in a nice manner.
● Adapting new procedures: I have been trained to do many different positions at my job.
I am trained to do front-end supervisor, sales floor, stock, and cash office. Everytime I
learn a new position, I am adapting to new procedures and changes.

● Coping with deadlines: Human Resources (HR) provides monthly videos for Ross
employees to watch to understand the new changes or guidelines we have to follow. With
every video, there are quizzes at the end. Watching the videos and doing the quizzes are
done at a certain time. If we do not complete the month’s video, we are unable to go to
work since the changes and guidelines will not be fully met.

● Listening to others: I listen to other people whether they are my manager, co worker, or
customers.

● Supervising employees: I am front-end supervisor at Ross. As part of my job, I make

sure the front end of the store is in shape. I supervise customer service box, cashiers, sps,
and sale’s floor employees.

● Enduring long hours: Averagely my shifts are six to nine hours long. The longest shift I
have had is ten hours.

● Entertaining people: I used to babysit as a job. I babysit little kids and I have to keep
them entertained, fed, bathe, etc until their caretakers come to pick them up at the end of
the day.

● Reporting information: At Ross, there are many thefts that come in. As part of my job, I
have to identify any suspicious behaviors within customers and report it to the manager.
If a large amount of merchandise is stolen, we have to report what we saw to higher
management or HR.

● Interacting with people at different levels: All of my co-workers come from different
backgrounds. Some people have years of customer service experience, while others have
none. We all work together to get the job done at the end of the day.

● Maintaining emotional control under stress: I have had a few bad days at work due to
personal reasons. There are days that the store gets super busy, unorganized and rude
customers come in, and maintaining emotional control is a priority as I am still providing
excellent customer service throughout the store.
● Providing customers with service: I was a waitress providing food services to
customers. I am currently working at Ross providing customer service to those who buy

Dear Mr. Johnson,

I am pleased to be applying for the position of Accounting Associate at Fisher's Investment. I believe my
qualifications and my skills will be beneficial to Fisher's investment organization.

I am currently 20 years old. I graduated from Camas High School in 2018. In the Spring of 2020, I
graduated from Clark College with my Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration. I am
currently enrolled at Washington State University Vancouver to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Finance and
Accounting and become eligible to take the CPA exam. I am set to graduate in Spring of 2023. My current
GPA is a 4.0. As a student, I am detail orientated and organized. In addition, I am a fast learner, so I can
learn something new and pick up the skills immediately. I have taken a Microsoft class in the past that
resulted in me being Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint certified.

I have spent the last few years babysitting and dog sitting for people I am close to. In addition, I worked at
a Thai Restaurant called "Talay Thai" for over a year. Recently as of November 2020, I started working at
Ross Dress for Less as a front-end supervisor. I have learned patience, excellent customer service skills,
and how to work with a team from working in a retail environment. One of the strengths I have is that I
can speak fluently in English, Vietnamese, and Thai, which allows me to help translate to those who
speak similar languages as me. I am currently looking for the first job position to help me with my career
choice in the future. I am excited and eager to learn about what Fisher's Investment has to offer me.

Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions relating to my application, please
do not hesitate to contact me. My contact information is through email at pauline.le@wsu.edu.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Pauline Le
