The last Scene of Macbeth

The last act of the Macbeth play mainly focuses on the deaf of Macbeth by the Malcolm army as

well as displaying the double meaning of the prophecies of witches (Leggatt, 2019). However,

there lacks the scene which concludes the play to show what happened after the defeat. This

scene can be used in improving this play.

During Malcolm's crowning, the three witches will appear in three flames as they will be

testifying the defeat of Macbeth by MacDuff. Macduff will be praised by Malcolm, the new

king, and crowned as the kingdom's fighter. Macduff will is chosen to be the protector of the

king against all the enemies. The king orders for the cleansing of the nation from the tyranny of

the "dead butcher." The three witches disappear after a loud thunderstorm, and heavy rains fall as

a blessing to the land. The next morning Malcolm, the new king, calls for celebrations after

delivering the kingdom from the cursed Macbeth.

The reason I created this scene is to show the events which followed after the death of Macbeth.

This scene also serves the purpose of revealing the prophecy made by the three witches that

Macbeth will not rule forever. The scene also shows how the new king Malcolm comes to fulfill

his wish to Macduff as he had promised after being brought to the head of Macbeth. The

disappearance of the three witches signifies that the reign of Macbeth is no more and the rain that

showed the grounds during the crowning of Malcolm signifies blessings to his rule. The party is

held to acknowledge all those who participated in the fight, as King Malcolm had promised.
