Title: Project Engineer

Name: Faouzi Souissi

I am an electro-mechanical engineer. I was graduated in 2007. I have more than 12 years of

experience in realization of an industrial and oil & gas projects. My first occupation begun in 2008 as
construction engineer. I had been assigned for many projects. In the end of 2014, I decided to join oil
& gas institute in Monastir. I was graduated as petroleum engineer in July 2015. From that time up to
now, I am working for Oil & Gas Services Company as a project engineer in a mega project located in
south of Tunisia. I am responsible for managing the mechanical and piping scope and ensuring
successful project outcomes. I schedule, plan, forecast, resource and managing all activities aiming at
assuring project accuracy and quality from the execution to the closing phases. I conduct meetings
with team members, identify and manage potential risks, making effective decisions for how to
progress with the project and reporting to the project manager. I am also interacting with client to
interpret their needs and requirement and representing them in the field in respect to the contract in
force.

Despite the engagements that I have with the company, I am pursuing professional development in
order to improving my career and getting certified as project manager.

During my working life, many problems has been encountered. Most of them are related to the
technical issues which I consider it solvable. Few of them are related to the social problems which
has been occurred mainly after the revolution. These problems are summed by the fact that
government lost the control in some places of the country. This allowed some protestors to behave
illegally and break into workplaces and stop the work. Company suffered a lot from such situation
and tried many times in coordination with Government to find solutions to remedy these issues but
unfortunately without success.

In my relationship with my colleagues, I don’t remember that I was faced with some problems. So, I
can consider that I have a good relationship with all my colleagues. This is might be due to the fact
that I never mix my private life with my professional life.
