Children with emotional and behavioral disorder, is one of the main challenges to
the teachers and parents on how to handle them. Children with emotional and
behavioral disorder are distinct in four categories, the conduct disorder, anxiety-
withdrawal, immaturity, socialized aggression. What are the causes of this disorder?
How we can help them?
Upon reading this module, and knowing the causes of their disorder now I
understand them, we need to understand the behavioral disorder they are now,
because they are their intention to put their self in that situation. Children or people are
only victim of the environment, they need our patience and support for them to know
that we are always in their side to take good care and listen in every word they try to
say. After reading this the first person to sink in my mind is my friend, a child name
empong, special child, many of the children bullied him, some adults can not
understand him about his behavior, some of them call him crazy every time his mood
change and irritable. I thinking why people cannot give understand, what if they are in
empong situation, I ask some please to made your mind wider to understand like my
friend situation. Children are suffering physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse,
or any traumatic experience in their childhood one of the reasonsaffecting of the
learning process of the children. They wanted to be alone all the time and they don’t
know how to give trust to others. Special education teacher fully trained to used their
abilities and strategies to help and handle children with emotional and behavioral
disorder. Giving clear, simple instruction and activities in your class the children can
understand and for sure they follow you. Giving reward every achievement, they
successfully do, can help to be more interesting and more be participated in your class.
Letting them to mingle and play in their classmate, friends, by that they slowly forget the
problem. Parents and family also can help them, support love and time great way to
help the children condition.
Educating children with emotional and behavioral disorder id not easy, its keep
challenging to everybody specially to the teacher, parents and family member doing
things good to prevent this kind of behavior.
