STEPS TO DELIVERANCE
Bond # 1
Generational Iniquity-
•sins committed by your parents, grandparents and other ancestors that
have not been repented of.

•The iniquity makes you more susceptible to that sin

•Iniquity brings about curses

Bond # 1
Generational Iniquity-
Exodus 20:3-6 (NIV)
You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself
an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth
or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the
Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for
any other gods.
I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is
affected- even children in the third and fourth generations of those
who reject me.

Personal Sin-
sin in your life

•1. Stops God from delivering, hearing and answering your prayers

Isaiah 59:1- Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is His
ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

(SOZO – to save, heal, cure, preserve, keep safe and sound,

rescue from danger or destruction, deliver)

Personal Sin-unconfessed sin in your life

•Brings death in all forms

Romans 6:23- For the wages (payment) of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
•Breaks your fellowship with God

 Bond #3: Unforgiveness
•Stops God from forgiving you
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly
Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins,
your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15

•Causes disunity and discontentment among others

"Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any
root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be
defiled." Hebrews 12:15

•Allows you to be tormented -Matthew 18:21-35 contains a parable on

forgiveness. In verses 34-35 Jesus said "And his lord was outraged, and delivered him to the
tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. In the same manner shall my heavenly
Father do also to you, if you from your hearts do not forgive your brother sisters unintentional or
willful offenses."

•Many health problems including heart attacks, cancer and mental illness
Bond #4: Ungodly Soul
Ties
The mind, will and emotions of a person becomes entangled to the point
where their thoughts are no longer their own. A person is unnaturally
affected the by mind, will and emotions of another person.

Beloved, I wish above all things that you

would prosper and be in health, even as

•Marriage
•Sexual activity- 1Corinthians 6:16- And don’t you realize that if a man
joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the
Scriptures say, “the two are united into one.”

•Listening to voices- there are…so many kinds of voices in the world, and
none of them is without significance (or fails to send a message).” I
Corinthians 14:10

•Improper allegiances- when we take sides with the wrong people or operate
with the wrong motivation we become influenced by the decisions and beliefs of
others. Don’t make friends with an angry man, and do not go with a furious
man, unless you learn his was and get a snare to your soul. Proverbs
22:24-25
