8 Remove flow dividing valve (2)
9 Remove bracket (3)
10 Detach electrical connector (6) from front-axle
steering angle sensor (B64)
11 Mark installation position of front-axle steering
angle sensor (B64) relative to steering gear (1)
12 Unscrew bolts (8) and remove together with
washers and spacer bushings (7)
13 Detach front-axle steering angle sensor (B64)
14 Remove sealing ring (11) from steering gear
(1) if necessary inserted into the groove of the front-axle
steering angle sensor (B64). The grease in the
steering gear (1) may cause the sealing ring
(11) to stick to the steering gear (1).
Check
15 Check magnet (9) for cracks
Install
16 Mount new sealing ring (10) to front-axle
steering angle sensor (B64)
17 Insert new sealing ring (11) uniformly into
groove in front-axle steering angle sensor
(B64)
18 Apply coating of grease to sealing rings (10,
11)
19 Insert front-axle steering angle sensor (B64)
into steering gear (1) and partially screw in
new bolts (8) with washers and spacer
bushings (7)
