Learning venue

The learning venue where experience as division director was gained is Executive Motors

Company in San Diego County. Over ten years, I worked as a division director in the company.

With this position, I had twenty-five junior staff under me. My position enabled me to gain

experience in customer service.

Learning principle

Learning principle description helped me in acquiring customer service experience. At the

Executive Motors Company, the knowledge obtained was, supervision of management and

administrative staff, managing twenty-five staff members to ensure work is appropriately done

and maintain social relations with them, is not an easy task. I learned how to maintain a line of

duty and good relationships with teammates and junior staff.

Some staff members cannot work without supervision, and as a director, I give keen attention to

monitor the staff's attendance. It helped me gain knowledge in overseeing, inspecting, and

guiding the team members and helping them in their assignments and actions; it taught me

teamwork.

Customers would come to the company with various disputes. I would intently listen to them and

develop the best amicable way to solve their issues, which helped me establish people skills and

create a good relationship between the customer base and the staff.

Interacting with customers and staff every day has widened my understanding and changed my

perspective on handling people. I have learned to accept other people's weaknesses and

maximize their strengths.

Application of the principle outside the venue of the experience

Running Head: MANAGEMENT 3

I gained experience through class training on the job and field attachments. Customers’ views

and opinions have helped us to better our service delivery. Suggestion boxes within the company

help our staff members to address failures and present any critical issues confidently.

Conclusion

For those in the service delivery and occupy top offices, let us learn that kindness and politeness

is a language the deaf can hear, and the blind can see. Character is the most excellent sermon

one can ever give.

Always let us lean to be slow on our judgments in the event of mistakes, and appreciate that we

are talented and abled differently to accommodate each other’s weaknesses and strengths. As

God said, let's love like little children, not in word or talk but deeds and truth."
